Ability to Open Multiple Documents to Copy & Paste Between Them
I have various assets I've created and I often want to copy part of one over to something new I'm creating, and yet I can't open multiple documents to be able to copy and paste between them. For example, I want to use a portion of a graphic in another new graphic I'm creating, and I want to open the existing one, ungroup the items, select the part I want and copy and paste it over into the new document. I can paste the original item, but it pulls in grouped together as one image so I can't grab just…

Merging artboards on same file
Being able to take an artboard from one file and moving it to another or making it easier to see two files side by side on iPad and also be able to edit between the two. In my class I have to take a lot of stuff from past work for future work so making it easier to transform vectors by duplicating multiple artboards from different files into their own file would be beneficial. Along with better file arrangement and organization.

Drag and Drop Artboard Copy
In desktop, I can Alt and Drag a copy of an Artboard. Currently, it seems in iPad I can only use the Duplicate button. This gets annoying. I want to be able to drag a copy of an Artboard to whatever location I want. Auto placement is nice, but it creates more steps in the workflow. I.e. Duplicate - Locate - Move. Whereas if I could drag a copy of an Artboard, I can move it up, down, left, right, diagonal, I always know where it is, and once it’s placed I don’t have to do anything else.

Initial View : File Organization Sucks.
I want to have folders to tidy up my documents. I created the folders but I have to laboriously go through each document, press down on it, careful not to open it, then drag drag drag it up to the appropriate folder and drop it in. I did this a bunch of times only to find it had somehow moved everything into a nested folder I had, further messing up my document organization structure, yay.
Suggestions: provide basic file organization tools like in any app: a Select tool where I can choose a random selection of thumbnails via checkboxes, and…

Can I open 2 files at the same time? Usually it’s Command + O, but that did nothing. I need to take motifs from one piece to another!

To Pin tabs of multiple documents.
To Pin tabs like on Google etc, when multiple documents are open, that way documents that are used everyday can sit open (pinned) leaving more room for New/other working documents across the top where they sit.

Export from the menu
On iPad illustrator version I would like to be able to export my file from the main menu, without having to open the file itself, wich rearranges the order of my recents which can be inconvenient.

Ability to link artboards
Can you add the ability to link artboards like in affinity designer so that whatever is being done to the first artboard shows on the second. This is a great feature fore textile pattern designers so that we can work in a smaller artboard but see what the repeating pattern looks like on a bigger artboard and be able to fix mistakes easier. I know illustrator has a pattern maker but it is very buggy and isn’t as good for making a pattern tile.

Off the object
When I want to move an object, I usually put the Apple pencil on it and move it. I wish Adobe could make it that i can put the pencil or finger on any area on the artboard and move it. That will help me see and control objects much easier and better..
