This is the make-or-break feature for me. I actually just bought an iPad so I could use Illustrator on the go, only to discover that this feature hasn't been implemented yet! Hopefully it will be added very soon.

This is something that's very useful in the desktop version and, in my opinion, cannot be replaced by brush strokes with the blob brush tool.
The different stroke profiles can give a clean look while keeping the strokes editable. see atached image to see what I mean. -

Ah. You are right! I was referring to the field drawing tools. I didn't notice that forum switched to the desktop version. Thank You! Hopefully I'm not too late to request on the iPad version now.

Sorry, I don’t get it. Do you refer to the iPad version? If yes, that it IS the wrong branch of the right forums :) This is Desktop Ai branch, instead of iPad. If no, you mean the desktop one, then these are already there.

Please allow someone to not just be stuck with the spaghetti noodle, but be able to define the stroke so that you can, say: have stroke start and end pointy, but with variable widths you can define throughout the line via a tool. Like in Affinity.

I agree a stroke profile/width tool would make it much better.
