Type Tool difficult to use
It might be my ability to use the UI effectively, not sure.
I have created 8 different type boxes containing about 30 words each. When I edit any of them it is difficult to “click into” the text to edit. When I do finally achieve properly locating my cursor, as I type the text insertion is very laggy.
Thanks! I enjoy using Illustrator on my IPad Pro.

Create color palette and swatches within the app using image capture and pictures
Would be nice to be able to create a color palette directly inside the app by importing color from the picture or using image capture. Adobe capture does allow selecting palette and swatches but directly built in feature within iPad illustrator wud save time and be more productive for work flow. Ability to save these palettes as awe file and use it across other Adobe products wud be great with this feature.

Ability to paint within a shape or send to Fresco while maintaining line quality.
In Fresco, I can freehand vector lines but cannot edit them like in Illustrator. In Illustrator my color/paint options are severely limited. Being able to paint or draw within a shape would be wonderful. If the two apps could share files I could have the best of both worlds.
(I tried exporting to a psd the loading in Fresco but it rasterized my lines.)4 votes -

Double tap gets you to select tool
Select tools is really useful. So if you use any tool should be a quick way to get to select tool. It will also be logical that if you get to select tool and you double tap it gets you back to the same tool you were using.

Colour in texture
The nice thing about Procreate is you can add texture with a brush. It feels fluid. It will be nice if illustrator. iPad had a feature similar to the brushes Procreate use. So you can easily add in textures within masks or over your design. This will also be a useful integrated feature and unique for iPad so you can create designs on the Mac and then have the ease of using your Apple Pencil to colour in texture. Bridging the gap between illustrator desktop and iPad.

Use tools with trackpad
It seems that keyboard support is there as I can use shortcuts to select tools, but I cannot draw a path or manipulate objects with the trackpad. Please allow trackpad support for drawing and editing objects.

Full screen preview shortcut / Artboard Panning / Rearrange Artboards
Currently there isn’t a way to view artboards in a preview mode without the background clutter (would be the equivalent of “Shift +F” shortcut on desktop). There also isn’t a way to rearrange or pan through or your art boards, as you would do via the arrow keys on the desktop version.
Aligning the viewing shortcuts with the desktop version would make viewing and navigating the IPad version so much easier!

Create colour library to use on all documents in the app
Apparently this is not yet available to do. For designers that can only use certain colours on print products this is very frustrating

Keep touch modifier on right
I’m left-handed so I would like the touch modifier to always be on the right when I open/create a document while keeping the tools on the left (not all lefties want their tools on the right). Thanks!
