1. Feature request: Imported image matches source resolution

   When selecting an image to import into a project, it would be beneficial to 1) either prompt upon import with a) the choice to import the image at its original resolution or b) the current default of fitting [one of the] dimensions of the image to the selected artboard; or 2) have an app preference that allows for this choice to be made once and applied to all images imported into projects in the future. Often when I’m importing an image into the project, it’s already at the resolution I want to work with it at, and my artboard is larger than that resolution to give me room to work beside it - so when it expands to fit the dimensions of the artboard, I have to go back to where I uploaded it from and find what its resolution is, then back to the app to enter the dimensions in, which can be onerous after doing it for multiple images. Between the current default or the resolution staying true to the original, if I had to pick one, I’d prefer it stay true to the original as it does on the desktop application. 4. Baseline shift, or sub/superscript, SOMETHING for ipad please?

   I’m creating woodworking plans and in a lot of cases that involves writing out fractions rather than converting to decimal. But on the ipad there is apparently zero functionality for adjusting baseline shift or for formatting characters as subscript or superscript. If I want to differentiate them from the surrounding text right now it involves adding a big space in the text on one layer, then creating a whole new layer and manually placing/arranging smaller characters to replicate the look.

5. Ability to use pencil tool and smooth tool like Illustrator desktop.

   It would be great to have the ability to use the pencil and smooth tool like the Illustrator desktop version. For example, on Illustrator desktop you can easily redraw a line using the pencil tool by drawing over the line you already drew and on the iPad version, the functionality isn’t the same. Additionally, there is not a smooth tool on Illustrator iPad there is only a smoothing feature when you’re using the pencil tool to draw. This is difficult because as an illustrator, I use the pencil tool to draw illustrations then the smooth tool to refine them. To refine a line/illustration, you have to redraw it which seems to take much more time than fixing a segment of the line or drawing and it also takes away from the flowing creativity of the moment because it becomes a really clunky process. 6. Reverse compatibility between IPad and desktop files, currently I can export from iPad to desktop. But desktop Ai files don’t export to iPad

   Making it so that I can move my work seamlessly between my iPad and my desktop. iPad Air has some great features I cannot recreate on my desktop and vice versa. The one way compatibility is stunting my workflow and makes it impossible to have a positive workflow between the two.

I have pattern designs that I also need previews for - 12”x12” jpg or png file at 300 dpi, then I need a 1000px x 1000 px at 300 dpi for that same artboard. I’d like to create both of those files in one fell swoop and it remember those settings so I could apply them again to the next group of artboards. Even better if I could name them so that they stayed together when sorted so that I can locate when time to upload.

    Since the evolution of capable CAD software for iPad we have a need to import DXF files for the generation of labels and work surfaces. This is possible in the desktop version of Illustrator but a significant roadblock when working in iPad OS.

14. Palm Rejection Radius

    I just bought an ipad pro since I was having issues with palm rejection while drawing on desktop with a wacom cintiq 27q hd. (It was detecting a point on my palm while drawing with brush tool and was making zig-zagged lines even when I have the gloves on and I wasn't really having an issue beforehand like years ago using the earlier versions of illustrator cc.) But I'm really disappointed with the ipad version as well. There are no problems with the glove on but w/o it whenever my palm touches the screen first it does a pinch of zoom. It's probably about the shape of my palm when I'm holding the pen there happens a little bump resembling a point of finger therefore detected as one. I have skinny hands so. It doesn’t happen when my gf uses it because her palm is smoother while holding the pen. At least that's what I'm thinking the issue is all about. I've seen many posts regarding this issue so it's more like an adaptation issue with slightly different anatomies of a hand. So maybe implementing something like palm rejection radius as in z brush would be a better solution. I hope it gets worked on. Thanks in advance.     Hey Adobe team,

    I’m writing here after what feels like a decade of waiting for the iPad to become a true pro tool for design work. When Illustrator finally came to iPad, I thought, finally – this is it. But there’s a huge issue holding everything back: the lack of proper support for mouse, zoom, and keyboard shortcuts.

    It’s honestly mind-blowing. Why would you allow mouse and keyboard connections but leave out essential features like zooming with the mouse and supporting standard desktop shortcuts? The constant need to take my hands off the mouse or keyboard just to zoom or pan – it destroys any workflow. Creative work relies on a smooth, uninterrupted flow, and every time I have to switch to touch, it’s like hitting a speed bump.

    For those of us who are used to working in full-screen mode with everything going through shortcuts, this constant back-and-forth kills productivity. It’s the difference between being in the zone and getting totally frustrated.

    The iPad version of Illustrator is so close to being a game-changer. But until it offers proper, seamless mouse and keyboard functionality, it’s tough to rely on it for serious work. Even though I’d love to.

    Is there any chance we can see an update that adds full mouse/keyboard support soon? This seems like such an obvious upgrade and would make a world of difference for those of us who’ve been waiting years to work on iPad with the same pro efficiency we have on desktop.

17. A must tools as like desktop version

    Complete shape tool, width tool, transform tool, effect tools, smooth tool, fix/ pin contextual bar, stroke tool on contextual bar, if I use there it always changes edge and corner from the origin. Which is more work, than change it from properties.
