We were able to ship support for Art and Calligraphic Brushes in our 2.0 release. But there is more to be done for Import / Export of (atleast) these Brush types. We’re keeping this thread open for your feedback. Thank you!

EYEDROPPER SHORTCUT PLEASSEEEE (i) *just like desktop Please please please give us a shortcut for eye dropper. I can’t fathom how this was overlooked. AI for iPad is virtually useless for me, and doubtless others, without it. Its nice to not be chained to my desktop for work.

Add Guides and Rulers to Illustrator iPad Add guides and rulers to Illustrator iPad. It is very difficult to align objects and layouts accurately without them!

Select all color swatches to delete at once. Since I almost always want to delete the standard color swatches in a new document, it would be nice to be able to select all at once to delete, or at least multiples, instead of having to delete one at a time, very inefficient.

Envelope, Warp, and mesh distort tools Same as on the full version, something that’s definitely missing from the iPad version.

Path smoothing and path pushing The ability to smooth sections of a path after it’s drawn is a key feature. Also the ability to use a ‘variable size brush’ beside a path to push sections of a path. The app ‘concept’ is still more valuable to me as a vector tool as far as features go.

Width Tool (found in the desktop version) Please please please, introduce this tool for the iPad.
This one of my favorite features in Illustrator.Thank you.

Pencil tool options - like on desktop illustrator Would be lovely to have more control of the pencil tool. I simply tried doing my signature and it was getting all distorted because the points were connecting wherever they pleased... impossible getting line right when working on smaller details. Pencil Tool would be extremely helpful to have for future work. Thank you kindly.

Object Blend release in 2.0 with an exciting new capability – you can start a Blend with single object. Do let us know on how this feature is working for you. Thanks!

Deal with markup directly Add a feature which enables the user to directly input SVG markup into the application, instead of having to import an SVG file all the time. Will save a lot of time for those who make SVGs by hand like me.
Also, I would like it if I can just switch from graphical editing to markup editing seamlessly within the app. It would help with developing SVGs a lot.1 vote -
Add to the line snapping function Can you add to the line snapping function for the Apple Pencil by also allowing us to snap to a perfect arc, ellipse, quadrilateral, and other common shapes as well as being able to adjust the shape to what we want it to exactly look like. This would definitely allow tracing objects and photos much easier. Procreate has this feature but I would prefer to use this app and Fresno because of all of the amazing features you offer.

Support for EPS files. Would you please add support for EPS files? Import, export as eps etc? EPS files will be needed in many places.

Make Recent Color section as in Photoshop It would be nice to have a thing similar to Photoshop strip of recently used colors, with an ability to quickly convert one or several into proper swatches.
Probably a function that just add all used color into swatches automatically can be useful also, with a clear signaling it is active, to prevent accidental swatches bloating.6 votes -
Allow to add multiple swatches at once, similar to Color Groups in Desktop If one wants to add a color swatch, they can tap Plus button in Swatches section.
However there is no wat to add all colors from selected objects, you have to do it one by one, which is tedious.
Please make a way to adding selected colors into a color group or at least as an ungrouped set, just like Ai on desktop can do.6 votes -
Pattern Tool Options I am a surface pattern designer, so please expand the pattern options tile types to include those available in AI desktop: brick by row, brick by column, and the hex options as well.

Smooth tool like the desktop version On the desktop version they have a smooth tool where you can target specific lines and shapes. I use this tool constantly and was disappointed to not find it on the app version. It’s the major missing feature keeping me from using the app more often
