  1. Reverse compatibility between IPad and desktop files, currently I can export from iPad to desktop. But desktop Ai files don’t export to iPad

    Making it so that I can move my work seamlessly between my iPad and my desktop. iPad Air has some great features I cannot recreate on my desktop and vice versa. The one way compatibility is stunting my workflow and makes it impossible to have a positive workflow between the two.

  2. Swap seamlessly between desktop and iPad - for hand drawing path sections with pencil tool

    I work 95% desktop, but sometimes I just cant draw a curve or shape properly with a mouse. It would love a quick export button to my ipad where I can quickly REDRAW lines and curvatures with the pencil tool, then export back to desktop. This would act somewhat like me plugging in a wacom, but so much better because the ipad is so much more capable.

    The pencil tool in ipad currently does not support redrawing section of a path to get the curvature right - that needs to be fixed as a priority, since this is one of…

    素早くピンチインしたときにアートボードにフォーカスが当たる挙動を設定でオフにできたい。でないと通常の全部動作の時に意図せずフォーカスが当たる時があり面倒。

  7. Baseline shift, or sub/superscript, SOMETHING for ipad please?

    I’m creating woodworking plans and in a lot of cases that involves writing out fractions rather than converting to decimal. But on the ipad there is apparently zero functionality for adjusting baseline shift or for formatting characters as subscript or superscript. If I want to differentiate them from the surrounding text right now it involves adding a big space in the text on one layer, then creating a whole new layer and manually placing/arranging smaller characters to replicate the look.

    I’m writing here after what feels like a decade of waiting for the iPad to become a true pro tool for design work. When Illustrator finally came to iPad, I thought, finally – this is it. But there’s a huge issue holding everything back: the lack of proper support for mouse, zoom, and keyboard shortcuts.

  9. Being able to delete and remove personally created Brushes

    1. Currently with my update on the iPad illustrator I am able to create Brushes and to some extend edit them which is great BUT I am not able to delete the brushes I have created.
    2. Similar to te desktop version I would love to see the pattern Brushes option be included in the iPad version as well. I have to create multiple versions of the same brush to make sure they don’t distort but it would be great to have the pattern brush option to be able to change the size and length without having the brush distorted.

I have pattern designs that I also need previews for - 12”x12” jpg or png file at 300 dpi, then I need a 1000px x 1000 px at 300 dpi for that same artboard.   11. A must tools as like desktop version

    Complete shape tool, width tool, transform tool, effect tools, smooth tool, fix/ pin contextual bar, stroke tool on contextual bar, if I use there it always changes edge and corner from the origin. Which is more work, than change it from properties.

  12. Feature request: Imported image matches source resolution

    When selecting an image to import into a project, it would be beneficial to 1) either prompt upon import with a) the choice to import the image at its original resolution or b) the current default of fitting [one of the] dimensions of the image to the selected artboard; or 2) have an app preference that allows for this choice to be made once and applied to all images imported into projects in the future.     A dedicated pattern window for surface design.

    Easy to choose between repeat styles.
    Adding and deleting elements.
    Side by side preview of the pattern.
    Art board templates for popular sizes.
    Pick and change the colors to an element that can update them all at once.
    Same for size and other transformations.
    Make this window Pantone extension friendly. We need to use Pantone colors.

    The Arabic text is supposed to be connected and not have separate letters. This issue is only in Illustrator iPad but not in other apps like Photoshop and Fresco. Please let me know how to fix it.

  19. Do Not Change/Select Random Colors When Creating Gradients

    When switching from a Solid color to a Gradient, the app will choose a (seemingly) random secondary color in order to visually show the gradient effect.

    I would prefer that all points of the gradient maintain the singular ‘Solid’ color.

    This is because I very often want to create a subtle gradient between a darker and lighter shade of the originally chosen color. More often than not, I need to copy the original color back into the new gradient point and then go from there - which can be frustrating because the app is making decisions for me that I…

  20. Multi-Select multiple files to move, delete, duplicate, etc. all at once

    I’d like the option to select as many files as I’d like on the Your Files page, so that I can move them all to a an existing folder, create a new folder and move them inside, duplicate or delete all files at once.
