   This is fixed in 27.1.0 build 2.

   The suffix checkbox was added into the Export As dialog to toggle on/off the functionality.

   If it doesn’t work for you today in the latest build — please make a comment.

   Amazing that this issue is fixed. So happy to annoucne this to my colleagues.

   I really wish this function coming back. Or at least make a check box to use the name of the artboard on your exported file name!

2. When exporting an image, using artboard, with a single artboard, don't change filename.

   The latest version of Illustrator now allows you to manually control the behavior with the 'Suffix' option in the Export As dialog. Please check if it it works for you and comment back if it does not.
