There is no true PDF Export in Illustrator, because Illustrator allows to have editable PDFs with .ai-content stored within. Other apps does not allow that, and some users heavily rely on editable PDFs.
Attemps to solve this were made, but there is no clear solution so far. Still we hope to find one.
The intended way to get a PDF (without loosing your data) at the moment would be to use Save a Copy command that saves a separate copy of your file to PDF instead of Save As which keeps a saved file open.
The most recent version finally has the Object > Distribute menu added.
Now both Align and Distribute commands can be accessed via menu and have assigned keyboards shortcuts to them.
The order of the commands though seemingly matches the one the panel has: horizontal first for Align and vertical first for Distribute. If you find this odd and want to change it — vote here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/45855823-sync-the-order-of-align-and-distribute-menu-comman
Also, Align To and Distribute Spacing commands are still missing in top menus, so please keep voting here to make them added too.
Starting with Beta 28.3.47 hyphenation is going to be turned off by default for all new documents, even if a user doesn't change the option manually for the basic paragraph style, as is mentioned in the previous status for this request. The status is going to be updated one last time when this finally lands into the main release. Again, thank to all who upvoted this for being active — and patient.

I would really love this feature! I do a lot of work across InDesign & Illustrator and use CC Libraries to streamline.... would be great to be able to add gradients!!!
