An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedStill happening after many years - brand new Mac Pro with lots of RAM and the latest install of Adobe CC.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedPlease fix this. I have upgraded to a brand new Mac Pro 2020 and the first software installed is Adobe CC... nothing else is on here and I have exactly the same problem that's been bugging me for years. If anything it's worse on this new kit. Do a bit of work in Photoshop then try to use Illustrator or InDesign and the cursor flickers (e.g. changing state from pointer to hand) making both programmes unusable. I shouldn't have to hide or close Photoshop whenever I need to work in Illustrator (or InDesign).

It's been bugging me since 2012 and I thought maybe my old 2009 mac with 16gb ram was a factor, but no... I have just upgraded to a 12 core Mac Pro 2020 with 160gb ram. I pay for all the latest Adobe software so it's not my equipment at fault.
The old hack is to hide Photoshop if it's open in the background but this doesn't always work.
Both Apple and Adobe are aware of this bug but no attempt seems to have been made to fix it.
Here we are March 2021... brand new Mac. Loads of RAM. Brand new install of Illustrator. Save to PDF... "Unknown Error"!!!!
The rename Settings hack worked - however the new "Settings" folder I created is empty. Should this contain a new set of joboptions? Anyway, whatever... it worked.
Shame the 10 year old flickering cursor bug is still not fixed.
