Thanks for reporting this issue, but as we are unable to reproduce the same inhouse, we would need some more information
- Please share the details of the Ai version (desktop) you are using.
- If possible , it would be helpful for us to reproduce the issue if you could share the files with which you constantly face the issue.
- Please share system details and GPU details for the machine you are using.

This bug has been around for more than a month and is a critical workflow process bug and should be top priority. I'd like to think Adobe staff can empathize with tight deadlines that demand accuracy but seeing as this has been around for as long as it has, perhaps not. It's hard to not vilify this company for its severe lack of urgency.
I have received confirmation from Adobe (Twitter) that the steps I showed to create the bug were reproduced from the Adobe Team and that was about a month ago.
I'd like to see some transparency from Adobe and at least provide an update on what they've learned internally about this bug. This would at least restore a little bit of faith.

In Illustrator version 26.0.2 the GPU preview is disabled when rulers are shown or you enter outline or isolation mode. This bug has been around since at least v24.
How embarrassing....
