We have an Illustrator file created in CC 2019 (23.0.6), it contains a PSD element that has a gaussian blur effect applied to it in Illustrator, set to a radius of 9 pixels, this produced a subtle blurred appearance. The file was then sent to a printer for test printing where they are using Illustrator CC 2021 (version unknown) and when they open the file the object becomes very blurred, completely changing its appearance.
I've managed to replicate the bug using Illustrator CC 2020, the object's radius blur effect changes to 9.021 pixels and the appearance becomes very blurred, see images attached. FYI the raster effects matched in both versions of Illustrator, nothing was changed at all when opening the file.
Unfortunately the printer didn't check the PDF we supplied to see if it matches the appearance and our client was not happy when he received the proof.

An error occurred while saving the comment Sam commentedIf you have created an RGB colour palette, did you make sure that you created the colour palette using a file with an RGB colour space? Have you checked if each of your designers are use the same colour settings in their programs? For instance you may experience problems if one is using US Web Coated (SWOP) v2 and another is using Coated FOGRA39. Check the file's colour profile using Edit > Assign Profile.
Also, you shouldn't be building artwork in a CMYK document if you are using RGB colours, the values may be adjusted as the CMYK colour space cannot replicate all of the colours in the RGB colour space.

Starting from the February 2024 release, version 28.3, this option is no longer enabled by default for new documents. If you had hyphenation enabled in an existing document, Ai will respect this.

Dear users,
You can now see a new 'save selection' button on the layers panel which enables to select multiple objects and save it for later use. Please try it out in BETA and let us know your feedback.
An error occurred while saving the comment Sam commentedThis would be a great tool to have, similar to how you can link layers in Photoshop but keep them in separate groups.
For instance in Illustrator I create printable artwork. I could have a text box on my 'Text' layer which needs a clear zone (no-print) around the text box, but I wouldn't want this object to be on my 'Text' layer, instead I would want the clear zone area defined on a 'Guides' layer. So if I move the text box at any point, the clear zone object would move with it even though they are on separate layers.

Thanks for checking Rob, I tested the issue on CC2020 (24.3) and had the error. It's not great having a feature you can't rely on if it changes appearance within different versions.
