Issue with Adobe Libraries color swatches not the same in each file for Illustrator/InDesign
There is an issue with Adobe Libraries color swatches when added to illustrator or Indesign files are not the same in each file for Illustrator/InDesign.
I made a master Brand color palette for the Marketing team to use for all.
The issue is that when I add the a color swatch from the Master Color Swatch Library it changes the RGB numbers in the local illustrator or InDesign file.
Other team members have experienced the same issue.
The goal is to create one brand color swatch library that multiple departments and teams within each department can use. The design team noticed this issue and have to manually change the swatches to the correct RGB numbers for each swatch. When the Illustrator file is created in CMYK, the RGB color swatches are not translated exactly in RGB as in the color swatch library.
When the new illustrator file is created in RGB color space, most of the time it does a perfect import of RGB color swatches from the master color swatch library. However, sometimes, it does not do an exact color swatch import.

If you have created an RGB colour palette, did you make sure that you created the colour palette using a file with an RGB colour space? Have you checked if each of your designers are use the same colour settings in their programs? For instance you may experience problems if one is using US Web Coated (SWOP) v2 and another is using Coated FOGRA39. Check the file's colour profile using Edit > Assign Profile.
Also, you shouldn't be building artwork in a CMYK document if you are using RGB colours, the values may be adjusted as the CMYK colour space cannot replicate all of the colours in the RGB colour space.
