An error occurred while saving the comment Florian, can you please package the test file with both these images and share it here or email it via sharewithai@adobe.com for the team to investigate it?

An error occurred while saving the comment Adding a simple 'watermark' is something you can do easily with Actions panel. Create a new action, start recording, place and the the image, stop recording, assign a hotkey to the action. Once you run it, Illustrator places the link for you. You can also record changing its transparency, etc.
The other problem is that a watermark like this (and any other watermark in a vector document) is quite easy to remove. The only plausible way is to protect your PDFs with a password (also hackable), or stick to raster images as a media (and there are ways to 'de-watermark' these also).

An error occurred while saving the comment Glad it got solved, but not happy with the actual fact your hotkeys got lost :( Since this is a bug indeed, I rename the issue then, to help other users to find it and upvote.
Thanks for reporting this! And if use use custom keyboard shortcuts, save it with a different name, locate the file in Finder and make a backup, just in case this happens again. Since we can’t trust Ai on this :(
An error occurred while saving the comment Denise, can you please elaborate a bit more?
1. Were these working fine in a previous version?
2. Have you checked if these specific commands have assigned hotkeys in Keyboards Shortcuts?
3. Do you use any other apps which can intercept hotkeys with their own, like buffer and screenshot managers, cloud clients, browser extensions? Can you check it and try to close everything else but Illustrator? -

An error occurred while saving the comment I was not able to reproduce the problem.
The attached PDF, when imported in Illustrator, has both text objects having exactly the same coordinates, and using Paste in Front does not result into a shifting for me, at Windows, with two last versions of Ai.
If I open it in Acrobat and check only '2X WHITE', which has 'Overprint Fill' checked, in Output Preview, I can see the tiniest seam, which does not get larger when I zoom in — so I assume it’s a rendering glitch, which is typical for Acrobat.
Having both text object outlined does not cause any difference, so it’s not because of hinting applied. The original PDFs from the thread indeed has both overlaid text objects shifted slightly... But as mentioned by Luke in the original thread, 'I don't know what caused the original error'.
Honestly, I’d assume a hand twitch... I know how it happens for me. Or some tool caused it to move. Until you give specific steps to reproduce it — I don’t think anything can be done to investigate this more that that :(

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for raising this up!
I confirm this.
Disabling Rubber Band for Pen in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display does not help. The bug is pretty old and is reproducible since at least CS4 (but is absent in CS2), right after Pathfinder Unite/Add learnt to close opened paths.
A known workaround is to deselect the closed object before you start to draw a new path.

An error occurred while saving the comment A workaround to this would be to Paste with Keep Text Only.
It seems like Microsoft Word just can’t handle the format Illustrator uses and which many other apps are completely OK with reading.
I’m pretty sure it’s more a Microsoft’s problem than Adobe’s, but I am even more sure it’s up to them to make a consensus about that, than it’s our users’ problem.
Definitely a bug.AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment I’d suggest to use the same exact approach Photoshop uses — hold Ctrl/Cmd to create a layer/artboard below the current one when you click the New button in the Layers/Artboards panels.

An error occurred while saving the comment Ted, judging by the file’s name, you were using Export for Screens to produce it?
Can you share the settings you have? Take a look at this screenshot.
You have to click that gear icon near the cursor (Advanced settings for exported file formats) and check if you Background Color value is transparent and not white. -

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 27.0.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

An error occurred while saving the comment Does not happen for me in Windows (phew)
An error occurred while saving the comment Happens for Windows as well.
Some other users experience this also with Character panel’s fields.
There is also another report about Enter not working for tint percentage confirmation: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/45887767AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Kelvin, this is bad :(
Can you please upload the project file to a storage service of you choice (if it’s heavy indeed) and send the link over to the team via sharewithai@adobe.com, for investigation.
Nothing really can be done without the file. Provide this report’s address as a reference link in the email: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/45878299Do not post link here in comment if you are not allowed to share it publicly.

As stated at https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/color-difference-between-cpu-gpu-previews/m-p/13322063, this issue is a Mac-only problem for Ventura on Silicon chips.
A workaround for now is to use CPU preview or run the app using Rosetta or open as Intel or roll back to Monterey.
An error occurred while saving the comment Please share screenshot of Color Settings used in both applications.
Also — are they in sync using Adobe Bridge? -

The problem no longer happens in latest releases, like 26 and 27.
An error occurred while saving the comment Not longer an issue in the latest releases.
An error occurred while saving the comment Finally, somebody reported this except me!
This is a known bug now, and I can tell you exactly hot to reproduce it.
Avoid selecting segments with no point included in a compound path in isolation mode with deleting it next. -

Not sure if I get it.
Are you sure you mean Shaper tool, not Shape Builder tool?
Because Shaper tool does not make a selection of the drawn shapes. Shaper Builder though — does.
How do you switch to the Smooth tool after using the other one?
By default Smooth tool is placed in the same tool slot as the Shaper (not Shape Builder), and once you click-and-hold the tool slot to access hidden Smooth tool — indeed, the selection gets dropped.
Can someone here record a short video of the issue?
AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Is it the same problem as shown here, for example?

Hm. Nobody changed it. If fact, the default hotkey for this is not Cmd+E, but Cmd+Shift+P.
However, this might be a recent bug with lost hotkeys — https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/45890119
Please, check your Keyboard Shortcuts dialog and check if your commands have hotkeys at all?
