An error occurred while saving the comment It can be hard for everyone to grasp without some illustrative images, screenshots. Can you make some to make it clear?

An error occurred while saving the comment I afraid you have to share the file that behaves like that. Without it there is nothing to investigate, reallly. If it is confidential, use sharewithai@adobe.com to send it, and add the link to the report’s webpage for the team to follow.

An error occurred while saving the comment There no a concrete way to restore everything always.
At least explain how did it happen and what were you doing?
Sorry for the time lost, but this obviously needs more details. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Very true. Sorry to hear about the work you lost :( We all been there, but this problem is indeed quite absurd. Thanks for the story.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.1.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!
An error occurred while saving the comment There you go! Got it, can reproduce. Thanks a lot for the patience and the effort to pin this down.

An error occurred while saving the comment Casey, yes, I'd like to have your file too. Please record a video of you trying, because it feels like a very narrow bug (but crucial anyway).
An error occurred while saving the comment Ton, I tried to drag the pattern swatch to the artboard and it HAS a hole. If I change winding rules myself, it still has it.
I think that it can be related to Libraries in particular... or no. You should record a small video that shows all the steps required to reproduce it at your side. So far I fail :(An error occurred while saving the comment Wow, this is something I know nothing about. Casey (or Ton) — can you share the file with the example of such an artwork, to test?

An error occurred while saving the comment Nice, a good thing to adapt.
But I can't but mention that you can use a custom hotkey to add a swatch or click a button on a Swatches panel if you prefer clicking to have a new swatch. But I am all in for that, because context menus are so unrefined in Ai.

An error occurred while saving the comment OK, you persuaded me :)
But I still want it to be a sticky option. An error occurred while saving the comment You mean that AI should ask me EVERY time I delete a swatch? Noooo.
Just edit green swatch to make it red or use 'Recolor Artwork' or use 'Replace Color' script from Alex Sheingart -

An error occurred while saving the comment You almost can make it by assigning a custom hotkey to the New Swatch menu command in Keyboard Shortcuts.
Then the process looks like this:
1. Click the color with the Eydropper
2. Hit a hotkey
3. Hit Enter to confirm the swatch settings
Not one click, but fast enough if you deal with a dozen of colors... if you have hundreds... well, then sure, an 'auto-swatching' sound reasonable. My cons are the tool is complicated enough for some users to understand (some don't know how tool's options work), and I foresee 'I have swatches I never added in my palette!' reports :) So it should be hard enough to enable and a clear cursor that indicated if the 'swatching' mode is enabled.

An error occurred while saving the comment That is clear now, I see. True, that is the issue I met myself. Sometimes different swatches indeed have the same color values, but should have different names.
And also sometimes you want Ai to automate the name instead, form a random gibberish you or another artwork had — but there is no way to force the auto-naming!
So I'd like to have this as a sticky checkmark that
A) will remember if a user wants auto-naming
B) will auto-name a a swatch when ticked
Or maybe a separate 'Auto-name' button and a separate checkmark better. How do you like it?
An error occurred while saving the comment I don't get it. AI adds a number to a name if you try to create a swatch with same colors.
So you get 'C=0 M=50 Y=0 K=0 1'. If you try to delete ' 1' and save it will still be added to avoid matching.
So when does the message you talk about come up? -

The 29.1 general release now allows to add gradient and pattern swatches into color groups.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anton, can you provide the piece of graphics you try to add in Libraries? and also attach a screenshot of it.

An error occurred while saving the comment In 24.4, on web-based profile, Pixel Preview mode would blur the result for a pixel-perfect image, when Zoom In or Zoom Out commands are used.
When you disable and enable the mode back, the rasterization gets restored.
Please see the attached image.
Also notice how a canvas shifts when you switch modes. -

An error occurred while saving the comment I personally have doubts it is actually possible. What if you have artboards in a document that does not match a standard order? different sizes, placement, some are nested or a laager ones... how Ai can detect if 'a row' has ended or not?
But I agree that a user should be able to choose where a new artboard should be placed, from which side of a current one at least.

An error occurred while saving the comment I miss dividers.
Please bring them back.An error occurred while saving the comment This related request deserves a vote too:
https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/43218300-delete-from-recent-filesAn error occurred while saving the comment ...because without these I started thinking about a plugin that just adds several blank tools with lines, to create sub-groups in tool panel, like in this image.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ai used to have separators in tool panel, dropped somewhere after 2012, with a major UI redesign.
Now we can customize our tools panels, but we can’t place separators between groups we make.
Please, give them to use. Also look at related request about docked tool panels row stacking:

Hi,
If you want to switch the older control panel you can do that in 2 ways:
1. Go to Window > Control and the control panel will be shown.
2. Go to Workspaces and switch to Essential Classic, this will also show the Control panel on the top. Thanks & Regards
