Expected to be fixed in Beta 30.6.0.75.
Please try to update and check if the behavior is better.

The team has started working on this.
If you have some ideas on how it should work — it’s time to discuss it.
Remember, text has more parameters than just font family and size. Document Profiles allow to set any of these using text styles, but editing the profiles them is a long journey. Doubling all parameters would be cumbersome.
How should it differ compared to InDesign’s approach? What other default parameters other than font would you need to alter and how should the solution would apply to those? Please help to make properly.

Even after doing this, if you paste an unformatted text into Illustrator outside any existing textfield or textarea, it will override the [Normal Character Style] and be Myriad 12pt.
The attached video shows how creating a new text field and typing uses the correct character style, but pasting text into the document creates a new text field with Normal Character Style overridden to use Myriad.

The team has encountered several issues with this feature. It requires them to change the basic algorithms and it is going to take them more time than anticipated.
While it still works in Beta 28.8.0.7, the next Beta build will have Inside/Outside aligned strokes for open paths disabled. The Beta is scheduled to be live on 7th of August.
Once this is ready to be enabled back, the team will update the status.

Here is a video of the error. I create two shapes, make a live paint group, and go to object->path->outline stroke.

Hello Egor
I am sure that Illustrator is in GPU mode. If I switch to overprint preview or CPU mode, animated zoom is completely disabled as expected. The bug I am describing is: When using animated zoom on a rotated canvas, it does not zoom around the mouse pointer.
See attached video for a demonstration.
I have reproduced this problem on Illustrator 2021 Windows, Illustrator 2022 Windows and Illustrator 2021 OsX

When working on a rotated canvas (using the rotate view tool), animated zoom does not zoom around the mouse pointer. It works fine when the canvas is not rotated.
Steps to reproduce:
1: Enable animated zoom in Preferences->performance
2: Rotate the canvas to an arbitrary angle using the rotate view tool
3: Switch to the zoom tool and click+drag anywhere on the canvas. The view will zoom around some other point.

When repositioning one of the objects in a blend, the object is moved away from the position where the mouse is released. See attached video.
