    Same here, the app freezes and closes just when trying to open a file.

    I am having the same problem. Can we please get a resolution to this? In my case it doesn't update with a restart of either device from desktop to Ipad or Ipad to desktop.

    We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 22.1.

    This says it was fixed in 2018 but I just purchased Adobe Illustrator and I am having this problem. All of my programs are up to date.
