commentedWin11 Pro 23H2, AI 29.4 I have the same problem for some time (about 2 years). It wouldn't be so bad if the generated PDF was at least correct. Since the PDF is used for the production of printed matter, it is useless. I always have to try out how to get rid of the plus sign: uninstall fonts, install, restart AI, reboot PC, etc. I haven't figured out what causes the problem: it comes and goes on a whim. I had hoped that with a new version, the problem would be fixed.

52 votesI am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 27.3.1 which is available worldwide now. Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it. You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming! The problem still exists. I also had it just the other day.
It seams there's no attention on this subject. And it seams only the two of us have it. Since the error cannot be reproduced, it is difficult to find.
I have gotten used to checking the separations every time and hope that I don't fall flat on my face. I can't hold Adobe responsible for this, even if it may be their fault.
Maybe it has something to do with the font manager? Just a thought of mine. I use MainType from High-Logic.
