Thanks for responding. Yes, I mean the view toggle. It’s strange, as it only seemed to do it sometimes, and sometimes it was fine.
CMD+TAB seems to cause the issue, it’s almost like it can’t load the difference between an RGB and CMYK document quickly?
The problem was visible on the version before the latest, and I updated it to the latest update in the hope it would fix it, it didn’t.
Not at my computer right now, but will upload a video tomorrow.

This should highlight what's happening. No live update sometimes. Not sure why in this particular occurrence to be perfectly honest. But it's a bug, all the same.

Here's the file. It seems to be when I tap on a swatch that's not part of the standard swatches in the palette (so, one that I've created). I do it, partly because that's they way I've always done it and it seems to have changed. You'll see, when I click, the moment I press CMD+C it deselects?

I just opened two completely blank Illustrator files.
Tab between the two, the swatches disappear. I have to create an object and then switch palette view from List View to Grid View to get them back.
Had it with the previous version of Illustrator too, which is why I updated.
