I need this literally every single day. It is so time consuming and would make so many pieces of art more editable / useable to have a quick way to do this, like the reverse of Object > Path > outline stroke. I'd love to be able to go:
Object > Path > Create Stroke at Centre
(I'd use this the most to be able to change stroke width on illustrations that have previously been outlined/expanded, where I later want to edit the thickness or create a scaled version with edits to thickness for a bunch of items at once, like say you have icons that you realise are too thick or thin when scaled at a certain size but you don't have editable stroke on them for whatever reason).AND
Object > Path > Create Stroke at Centre Of Outer Shape Only
(for complex objects where you just need a quick outline in the exact right spot without having to fiddle around breaking/combining pieces). I imagine this option I could use to get a quick fill behind a complex shape and still be able to change the stroke width for just the outside line.

I want to be able to save a single artboard (or range of artboards) from multi artboard file the way you can using the export menu, but .ai isn't available in that menu and when you choose save as or save a copy artboard range is currently greyed out. Alternatively a tickbox for save all artboards as individual files would also be good.
Use case is: We keep all illustrations for each client in a master file and often need to send just one of them as a working file to a designer to adapt for a project, at the moment you have to either save as then delete all the other artboards which doesn't delete the art on them so then you select all those bits and hope nothing was ungrouped and too small to see you missed, or you have to create a new file, make sure all your colour settings are identical, set artboard size the same etc, then copy and paste in place.
But this functionality allllmost exists we just need artboard range not to be greyed out in 'save as' or .ai to be added in Export file types - it would be super useful!
