A draw in front button is exactly what I was talking about in my comment. It can go right next to the draw behind button. I see the original post was made in 2022. Is there any chance that this request will happen?

Every time I go to draw something new in illustrator, the object goes straight to the top of the stacking order. I then have to drag it to where I want in the stacking order. It interrupts my work flow and is frustrating to have to scroll through every object to try and find where I need to be. I would love to be able to click on the object on the screen, and optionally also in the layers panel, that I want my new object to go directly above. An example would be after I draw my base structure of a design, and I want to start adding in details, like a face. I would be able to put everything where I want it in the stacking order as I work. Thank you!

    Hello Egor,

I checked out what you meant about the dedicated button in the control panel for ‘show handles for multiple selected anchor points’. But… I mean for Ai to display all handles and anchors for an object (or objects) that I select (V tool), and then I need them to all stay displayed for the selected objects when I go to edit one of the anchors or handles (direct select tool A). Sometimes I want to adjust a handle to match another anchors handle. Sometimes I want to move an anchor point to match another anchor point, or join one anchor on top of the other. But this can not be done if everything disappears but the one anchor or handle you select with the direction tool. This is how Affinity Designer works, and it so helpful that I really wish it could be done in Illustrator. Thank you!

    Hi Everyone,

This functionality is available in our latest release build – 27.6.1.

The new functionality allows searching layers by name using the searchbar in the layers panel. The users can also apply filters based on layer properties (locked, hidden etc) or objects properties (effects, text etc.). This will help to quickly find layers/objects for large documents (having multiple layers).

Read more about this - https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/whats-new/2023-5.html#search-and-filter

Thank you for all the feedback.
