 commentedAlso here with this problem since the update. Even fairly simple files are jumping to outline mode or not opening, whereas in the past this was something that only happened if working on a ridiculously complicated file.

I have the same problem, using a Mac. Doesn't happen in non-adobe apps, just noticed in Illustrator. If I go to File > Save A Copy, then switch the file format drop down to Adobe PDF (or anything else), then click on a choice of folder, the filename takes on the name of the folder. However, if you select the folder first, then choose the file format, it preserves your filename. Same issue when using File > Export too. Only happens when changing the file format before choosing your folder location.
