Zoom Tool – Zoom out sometimes doesn't work
I often zoom out by selecting the Zoom Tool from the toolbar, then holding down 'Option' and clicking the mouse to zoom out. This does work most of the time, but sometimes it doesn't work and I have to click another tool option then click back to Zoom for it to work properly.
Not sure if there's something specific I'm doing before to prevent it from working, or if it's just random.

Same for me. It's been happening for previous versions going back a few years now.

Same issue on InDesign [16.2.1]. I'd like to be able to scroll out far enough to see about 9X the artboard, or at lease 3X. I couldn't scroll past 90% of the artboard.
I created an alt. object
I switched to the select toolRestarting the app: It started at about 110% zoom. That's fine. If I zoom in at all, I can't zoom out past 90%. I can't see the whole artboard.
Query: Does it have to do with the margins, or the size/shape of text boxes?

Same problem here. Windows version 24.2. Holding down the alt-key results in the hand icon instead of zooming out. The problem appears to be random. I also experience the same bug in InDesign. It would be nice to resolve this issue since this is very mature software and this is a very amateurish bug.

This happens to me directly after switching from the Type Tool to the Zoom Tool. Why does this happen?

Why not just use control (or command) = and -?
