Please accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience. Please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.
An error occurred while saving the comment Dirk commentedMeanwhile I switched to a new MacBook Pro, running High Sierra.
The Problem still remains. Frequently, when I close files or quit Illustrator, the programm freezes and the computer gets pretty hot.
Hi! My issue with Illustrator it's a bit different to the original description. I posted the crashing-issue on the Adobe forum in the Mac category and in the end they sent me here to post my comment.
I'm working with a MacBook Pro 15-inch 2017 with Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 and Adobe Illustrator 22.1.
The issue is that Illustrator crashes when I close a file that I'd opened by doubleclick while Illustrator was not running. This issue didn't occur in Illustrator 22.0.1.
The only way to safely run Illustrator is starting it directly instead of doubleclicking an existing Illustrator file while the program is not running.
