Starting from the February 2024 release, version 28.3, this option is no longer enabled by default for new documents. If you had hyphenation enabled in an existing document, Ai will respect this.

Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedI have a solution. Adobe can rewind and delete 2019 versions of all their software and stop peddling this garbage to us. Illustrator and Photoshop are a buggy nightmare. UGH. Along with moving everything around. JUST LEAVE IT ALONE IT WAS WORKING FINE.
Blows my mind that this is not fixed yet. As far as I am concerned this is a bug. Who the **** wants hyphenate on by default??? So frustrating.
