    The issue seems to be the background save.
    When i disabled that, the long save times stopped and it works like before the upgrade to 2020

    UPDATE:
    Don´t understand why you need the file packed ? It happens on all files. The slowness I mean.
    And we have illustrator both on Windows maschines and Macs. Same problem on all.
    And las but not least it doesn't matter if we save it on the networks file server or as a local file o the computer.

    I also have the same issue. Takes forever to save an even empty artboard. And sometimes when you open a file the entire Illustrator becomes gray and all the menus and widows disappear I have to move the window or minimize to se the artwork..... I have tried to install the Prerelease 24.01 but the same problem still remains.
    I have a MacBook Pro 15 inch, 6 core i9, 32 GB and Mac OS Catalina 10.15.1

    I have now reinstalled Illustrator and installed the prerelease. No change. Still get this message. And the saving of files still take forever..

  3. Some files are gray in MacOS 10.15.1 open/place dialogs

    I have the same issue. And its not just in illustrator its also in Photoshop and indesign...
    Mackbook Pro 2018, i9, 32 Gb. Mac OS Catalina 10.15.1

    To me it looks like Adobe isn't looking at this thread anymore.... Maybe we have to start a new one ?
    Its been on Need more info for over a year.
