    This is so annoying, changing the UI scale fixed it for me. I had to change it, then change it back to what I wanted. Then it started working again.

    Thanks for reporting the issue. We have tried the scenario and failed to reproduce it,it would be helpful if you could provide some more information-

    Is this happening on win 7 only?

    Have you tried cleaning the preferences and re launching the application?Does that solve the issue.

    Have you encountered this issue with the latest Illustrator build?

    Hi ritika patel(Illustrator team) please read our comments. Only one user reported this on Win 7, all the others experienced the problem in Macs and also we reported the specifics: OS, machine, versions, etc.

    With regards to my own experience, for the time being I'm not seeing the issue any more after the last update.

    I'm having this on an iMac 27" Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017 using Macos Mojave 10.14.4 and it is very, very annoying. I'm using Illustrator 23.0.3
