As stated in this request’s status update, the team had to temporarily revoke the 'Search for missing links in this folder' feature to make a way for the missing 'Apply to All' option when relinking, starting with version 29.2.
These two can’t coexist at the moment, and the team intends to come up with a better solution to allow both.
An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment There actually is a work-around for this. If you move your .AI document to the same folder as your links and open it from there the links will be relinked to the file.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.0.2 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

An error occurred while saving the comment I sent this file via e-mail, but here you should be able to spot the problem.
What you can do is place all links into a folder named "links" in the same place as the Illustrator doc. Then open the Illustrator document and your links are all live.
