    This is happening with text, and a basic rectangle also. The object should be locked and/or not visible, yet when the layer is selected, all objects including the locked and hidden objects become selected and move when they should not.

    (Illustrator 26.0.1 / OS Catalina 10.15.7)

    The script is "dimensionsFractions1.3RO". A previous coworker located this script, I'm not sure how to locate the author. Thank you for the suggestion.

    Hi Everyone,

    We have fixed this bug in our latest release – v 24.2.1 which is available worldwide now. Thanks for your patience on this.

    Please note that after upgrading you might still see that Align To sets itself to Align to Key Object. If you see this, please manually set the Align To to the required setting, and this reported bug will not happen again. You’ll need to this one time only.

    The reason Align To might get set to Key Object after update is because Ai remembers your last Align To on subsequent launches as well. So, if your last Align To was Key Object before quitting/upgrading, after first multi-selection, it will set itself to Key Object. After you manually change it one-time, it will work fine.

    This may seen small to some Illustrator people, however to keep align to selection setting as a default is a huge time saver in my workday. I use that function repetitiously, it is very frustrating that this is not working.

    Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 • iMac (21.5-inch)

  5. Colours of Layers defined in documents saved by version 23.1.1 & prior are shifted one colour down the list by Illustrator 24.0

    We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 24.0.1
    Now your files created in 23.1.1 or prior will retain layer color when opened in 24.0.1

    1: OS High Sierra 10.13.6 / Adobe Illustrator 2020
    2: When opening an existing file previously saved in 2019, the layers are reassigned to orange, some gray; they were originally black.
    3: The layers should remain the color assigned.
    4: The layers are not the color assigned.
