2. Add more options to preferences

   Every time you guys change something on these programs it seems to affect me. Most of the time it is not in a good way. I believe this could be solved by allowing the user more options in preferences to turn on and off these options.
   For instance.
   You changed the way the the zoom in and zoom out works. It used to be it would just zoom out directly from where you are but now it zooms out from the object selected which is very annoying.
   I'm sure that works for some people but if it was a preference option they you could set it to your liking.
   I just downloaded the new version yesterday and right off the bat I noticed the align tool does not stay on the align to artboard like it used to. I align constantly when I design and would like the option to change the align to option without it changing on its own to default align to selection.
   Personally I use all the options just would like it to stay on the last selection I made until I change it. This could also be resolved by allowing an option in preferences. I think you should make all options that are changed like these a preference option. That's my two cents.

3. Easy portability of customization

   I really want easier customization portability in AI.
   Workspaces and Keyboard Shorts specifically.
   I'd love to be able to use any computer and just by signing into CC have these come along.
   And if not that at least a far more straight forward/intuitive method of moving them from one computer to another and from one version to the next.
   It literally takes me a half hour to set things up as I like if I have to do it from first principles (and longer for keyboard shortcuts — I usually don't even know what I have until I try and do something and get an unexpected result).

   I really want easier customization portability in AI.

4. Density pixels and screen pixels unit to include to design mobile apps

   Always as designer we have to calculate or check the calculation in other sites for dp or sp to px. It will be helpful if you include these units in adobe illustator.

6. Custom Keyboard Shortcuts dialog should highlight changes from defaults

   This is such a little thing, but I would love to scroll through my list of keyboard shortcuts and see an indication next to ones I've changed to custom, that are different from the default.

7. Ability to turn off all tips/tours

   I have seen the same blue warning message about discontinuing PMS colors over and over no matter how many times I dismiss. I've been using this software for 20 years. I don't need tips. I especially don't need tips multiple times. Can we have a one stop shop to turn off all of this stuff? They seem to get more intrusive with every update.

8. Please show that a document is loading, on the Home Screen

   When double clicking on a recent file, to open it, from the Home Screen, there is a very noticeable multi-second delay - where nothing changes or indicates that the load operation is happening.

   Like, when I double click too slow to actually trigger the file open function, there's no way to know that my double click failed, without just waiting a few seconds to see if the Home Screen goes away and the file begins obviously loading, so I land up wasting extra time, just to realize I still need to double click to open my file.

   It's only slightly annoying, but it is still annoying.

   I put it as a feature request, because the easiest solution would be to add some kind of indicator over top of the Home Screen that confirms Illustrator is loading my document. Either that, or just have the Home Screen close immediately, before it even starts the load/open operation.

   Sometimes it's a bit more annoying, because I launch a recent file from the Home Screen as I'm leaving my desk to go prepare a coffee, but then I come back and sit down only to find that I'm still on the Home Screen, because my double click wasn't fast enough.

   Anyways, Illustrator is still awesome, and big thanks from me to the team behind it!

9. Add Copies field in Transform Each dialog

   Transform effect dialog looks a lot like Transform Each dialog.
   Perhaps Transform Each should get the same Copies field that the effect’s dialog has, to avoid hitting/holding Ctrl+D and to be able preview the result like the effect allows.

10. Display Active Modifier-Key Command on Screen when holding Control, Shift, or Alt

    When holding down any combination of Ctrl, Shift, or Alt, Illustrator should display on-screen text indicating which command is being invoked.

    Moving or duplicating artboards requires the artboard toolbar to be selected, and then Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys to be held at once in order to drag a duplicate artboard parallel to the original. A simple on-screen text saying "Drag artboard, Drag parallel, Drag with Contents" or similar would help users intuitively understand which hot‑key action is being triggered, especially when working with multiple modifier keys where memorization can be challenging.

    This can be used not just for artboard commands, but all six (!) different paste commands, too.

11. Please add virtual sliders for Rotate values for Objects on Path

    Great new tool, Objects on Path. Unfortunately, the UI for rotating the Objects is not very smooth. We can choose preset angles via a dropdown, or type numbers. Why not add virtual sliders, just like Photoshop? This is so much more intuitive in a design process.

12. Add color to toolbar icons.

    The new 'Objects on a Path' tool has brought color to the toolbar. It now stands out a lot.

    I have a bunch of plugins that add tools to the toolbar, and have a bunch of cryptic monochromatic icons. Perhaps it is time for both Adobe and plugin developers to bring some color to the toolbar so we have one more thing to help us remember which extremely specialized tool we use once in a blue moon is which?

    (This also may require a switch in the prefs to revert to largely monochromatic icons for people who are colorblind and/or just hate change.)

15. Show/Collapse Option for the Right-Click Menu Items

    The Right-Click menu is getting too long. How about making an option to collapse or send to a fly-out window from the right-click menu, the least used tools/commands? Or, the ability to roll-up (or keep unrolled) the sections in the right-click menu? And the next time AI is started, the settings appear as they were from a previous session.

    Beim Ebenenbedienfeld sollte der Bereich grösser sein, wenn man mit der Maus eine Ebene sichtbar machen oder ausblenden will oder wenn man sie sperren will. Der Bereich sollte das ganze Quadrat umfassen (s. roten Bereich) und nicht nur den blauen Bereich. Begründung: Beim Klicken schaue ich oft auf die Veränderung bei der Zeichnung. Wenn sich die Maus beim Klicken nur ganz wenig verschiebt, gerät man aus dem Bereich und es passiert nichts. Dann muss man die Maus neu ausrichten und wieder versuchen.

17. Group all Gen ai features into one menu

    With the advent of more and more Gen AI features I highly wish that there is a dedicated Gen AI menu item in the object menu where all those features can be found.
    And this can and should be redundant as the Pattern fill can be with the Pattern Command (and others where they are already) but they should also be found in this new Gen AI Menu to have everything AI related in one place. No guessing just a single place to look for these features and there will be more obviously.

18. A way to access Window > Toolbars menu from any toolbar

    I want to be able to swap toolbars directly from the Edit Toolbar drawer hidden under ellipsis button in each toolbar. Currently I’d have to close one I don’t need, then go to the menu and search it there.
    At least they remember their positions...
    I can’t use workspaces to swap tool panels, because reloading workspaces takes forever in Ai.

19. Buttons in the script dialog UI lack rounding on macOS

    I’m writing to report a bug in the macOS version of Adobe Illustrator 2024–2025. I’ve noticed that when running scripts with UI elements, the appearance of the UI does not match the default Illustrator UI style. Specifically, the buttons in the script dialogs lack the standard rounding that is consistent across the Illustrator interface.

20. Show Appearance as a popup instead of a panel when clicking More button in Properties

    Selecting the ellipsis button in the Properties panel for the different sections opens a simple popup panel for further actions and self-closes.

    However, the Appearance section will pop out completely into it's own panel?
    This is annoying as I have to close the Appearance panel each time.

    This should be consistent like the others.
