Drag-and-Drop Swatches to Artboard This functionality wouldn't change the swatches palette it, but would allow users to drag a swatch to the artboard and drop it. You could tile several to create a tonal family or brand color set.
Being able to scale them larger, arrange them, reformat the grid, turn the white gap off in between colors would improve color adjustment and comparing hues side by side. They'd function like the existing swatches panel in that you could have a shape or stroke selected and apply the color by clicking the swatch on the artboard.
This would help in color exploration and creating…

Easily move large number of swatches into a cc library Companies offer free downloads of their color libraries, typically over 1000 individual color swatches. Currently, each swatch has to be moved one-by-one into a library. It's extremely time consuming and tedious. I have talked to numerous customer service agents and there is no satisfactory work around.
Create an easy way to transfer numerous color swatches at once into a library (which allows for use of the search bar feature). Using ccda>your work>upload does not work either.

Make gradient swatches shareable via CC Library Exactly as the title says. Make gradient swatches able to be shared across projects via the library. As it is, I can add elements using the gradient swatch to the library, but then the gradient itself isn't editable on the other end.
Thanks!

Add color switch toggle to Swatch Panel color chips This would be a nice timesaver: Similar to the fill & stroke color switch toggle in the tool bar, would be rad to have that in the actual swatch panel. Add color switch toggle to Swatch Panel fill & stroke.

RAL Swatch Library RAL Swatch library. We don’t need this for print or screen, but it is necessary to mark a plastic or metal with RAL colour when documentation is sent to manufacturing. Do something about it.

Automatically make gradients by just selecting two or more colours. Create a default gradient of two or more colours just by selecting them on the artwork or on the swatches panel without having to copy and paste the color codes separately.

Adding gradients to swatch groups 1) DESCRIPTION: Right now, we can set gradients as swatches, and we can set several swatches to go into a group. However, we cannot save gradients to a swatch group. But what if we could?
2) WHY IS THIS VALUABLE TO YOU?: Because, Adobe, why would you have "swatch groups" when you can't even put the different varieties of swatches in them?

Have 'Select All Unused' in the Swatches panel look inside symbols Right now when you choose 'Select All Unused', it selects colors that are in use inside of symbols and they will delete if you are not careful.
If the color is not directly placed on the artboard it seems Illustrator can't tell it really is in use.
Deleting the swatches results in 'Deleted Global Color' swatches appearing in your Swatch panels.

Make Illustrator for iPad and Adobe Library more pattern-friendly Editing and scaling patterns on the iPad is nearly impossible. Ist would be great if the options would be similar as in the desktop version, where scaling, editing, changing the colour of patterns etc. is with the swatches easily done.
Also if patterns could be saved to the adobe library it would simplify the working process immensely.1 vote -
Feedback on new Recolor artwork (in Beta now) New redesigned Recolor artwork is available in Beta now.
We heard from many of you that the current Recolor is confusing and difficult to use. This new Recolor has a completely redesigned experience with an added ability to recolor your art based on your referenced images & artwork. We have broken the Recolor into two sections. When you invoke Recolor, you would see an on canvas dialogue that allows you to quickly Recolor your artwork with all the basic controls. For advanced settings, you can click on more options (...).
We would love to hear your candid feedback. Please provide…

Shared library colors -- that UPDATE your document if they are changed As far as I can tell, your shared library feature lets you share a palette of colors—BUT, once you start using those colors, they are locked within your file and no longer linked to the shared library. This means that if your brand team changes a shade of yellow slightly and publishes that to the library, you have to manually know what changed and manually update your file. Figma users are very accustomed to using shared swatches, and Illustrator users can get comfortable with this workflow too IF it works for them and their company.

Indesigns colour theme tool. Would love to see this implemented in Illustrator as I, like many others, like to import JPEGS or screen grabbed colour samples to take colours from it manually. It would be awesome to have a colour theme generated from those images that could work within Illustrator and then used across the adobe library. Also this might be something that could also allow you to select an artboard of choice and generate the top 5 colours of that illustration.

Allow repeat patterns to be added to swatches In the desktop version of AI you were able to create patterns and then add them to the swatches panel to access in any other file. This would be a good feature for the app.

History of Colors used Keep a color palette of the last 5 or 10 colors used to quickly choose color in your work rather than using the color picker.

Remove default yellow layer colour. Please remove the yellow layer colour from the automatically generated layers.
When a layer is colour is set to yellow, it is very difficult to utilize drawing tools because it is difficult to see the yellow guide-cursor against a white artboard.
I have been using for my work illustrator for ten years now, and this has always bothered me. Whenever a yellow layer is added, I have to manually switch it to another colour.
Thanks!

Global Gradient Swatches Please make it possible to make Gradient Swatches global - just like colour swatches.
In this way, a Gradient applied to several objects can be edited to update all objects.

Modification of pattern through keyboard shortcut There was a very useful option available in very old versions of Illustrator (before CC). When I need to modify a pattern applied to an object but not the object itself (scaling, rotating, shearing, mirroring, etc...) , it was possible to do it manually, not throught he box, by pressing a key — to be chosen in the keyboard shortcut menu — while moving the mouse or using the increment keys. It was much faster and flexible than to have to go through the box, deselect the "apply to object" option and repeat several time. It would be great to…

Name a swatch with its colour values I want to be able to name a swatch with its colour values - just like in InDesign - simply by ticking the checkbox - see the screenshot from InDesign..
Let's say I have an imported document with a lot of RGB colours. The document needs to be converted to CMYK. After conversion all the colours are now CMYK but still have their names in RGB, I don't want this and I don't want to have to re-name each one by typing all the colour values!!
Please give us this same option to re-name a colour with its values, with…2 votes
