Dim Control In Isolation Mode
It's extremely difficult to manually work with colors with respect to the complete artwork in isolation mode with the background dimming effect. This should be able to be disabled, while still maintaining group isolation workflow benefits.

Need a control on this, to choose a color for dimming, or disabling it.

Sure I’d use both.
And I'd also like to have dimming customized for Outline mode: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/45706072 -

I fully support this.
When you go into isolated mode, working with light shades becomes torture.
Please fix this! -

Please. Add this Feature.
White Overlay should be disable when working in isolated mode. It is a very UNCONFORTABLE feature. It's like having 'Fog on Eyes'. :-S
I have been using Illustrator for years and have never put up with this feature.
It's incredible they hasn't been correct/changing yet that. -

Ok, I want in on this. Just Alt+Tabbed from editing white wispy lines in isolation mode. Now I'm an advocate for Dark Isolation Mode.

It's amazing that this is still a problem three years later :(

Agree that being able to customize this setting would be a huge workflow enhancement. The default of 95% White—or whatever the value is used for the isolation background mask—makes it very difficult to see any objects with light colors: shape fills, strokes and paths edges that are assigned lighter layer colors.

I can't believe this only got 4 votes so far. The dim really messes with the color and transparent objects.
There should be more control over the Isolation Mode.
Like hotkeys for dim control and to change the currently Isolated Layer. Maybe even the possibility to put selected objects in isolation mode without the need to group them. -

No kidding. Can we get a bit more love on this. It's impossible to work with symbols really with the dimming.
