Paste on selected Artboards
The user should be able to paste on selected artboards. Currently we have to paste on all of them or one of them. With the advent of many more artboards, the user has to spend a lot of time pasting on each artboard.

The latest Beta Build 29.5.35 now allows to Paste on Selected Artboards.
1. Copy the artwork from the source artboard.
2. Open the Artboards panel or select the Artboard tool. Then, select the target artboards.
3. Go to the Edit menu and select a paste option (Paste in Place, Paste in Front, or Paste in Back) to position the artwork as needed. Alternatively, right-click the selected Artboard to access the paste options directly.
Shortcuts are also available.
Try it please and share your feedback!

I use Paste in Place / Paste in Front a lot to paste on the same location on one artboard at a time. The only issue I have with copying and pasting is that an Artboard is not always selected automatically when I select an object, so pasting sometimes happens on unexpected locations.
It would be nice to have the option to select multiple artboards (in Artbpoards panel for instance) and paste items on those artboards at once. Screenshot: paste on selected artboards 1 and 3 only.

There is a simple script written by Sergey Osokin he shares here:

It can help you do exactly that. -

I would like to suggest expanding paste on all artboards command into a dialogue box. It could be really helpful in print designs having multiple artboards.
1. Currently the command pastes the selected objects on all artboards present in the document, even the one they are copied from.
in order to not have to delete duplicates manually you could make this new dialogue box show the list of artboards with check boxes which allows users to select which artboards to paste on.2. paste a library asset on selected artboards.
3. like in flash/animate two open files could use each others library panel,
being able to share objects on the fly from work area in two illustrator would be great. -
