Make Asset Export settings Per-Project not Global
It doesn't make sense to have global settings for Asset Export, as the exporting requirements vary between projects. Each project should have its own Asset Export settings so this doesn't have to be set up every time when exporting from different projects with different settings.
Changing back and forward is time consuming and error prone.

Please, please, please do this. Each project has its own export needs, and it's kind of infuriating to make changes to a file, go to export, and find out that you need to re-enter all the settings. For example, we have a master iconography file that we use to manage all our brand icons, and then export them in multiple formats and sizes. Once or twice a month we have to go back into this file and add an icon, and then we need to re-enter all the settings.

Export for Screens is seriously handicapped! Settings should be saved with the file, so you don't have to manually re-enter the settings every time you export. The world includes much more than Android and iOS (ever hear of Windows or Mac? or the idea that not everything that's being exported is for standard app usage?). It shouldn't be easy to accidentally export files to the wrong directory, like the directory from a completely different project or some weird default directory. And, because many different files do share settings (beyond iOS and Android) there really should be the ability to create additional templates.

Completely agree!! Just like "Save as" or "Export as" automatically uses the given filename, Export for Screens should include the given filename in the Prefix field. (The prefix field could also be a little wider so more of the text can be seen!!)
Would also love for the "Create Sub-folders" option to allow us to give a specific name to the sub-folder.

AGREED! I can't tell you how many times I've gone back to a file and saved it to the wrong folder... or saved it with the wrong prefix... or saved the wrong file type. This is especially problematic when I have multiple projects that require multiple proofs. I have retype/select the same information over and over each time I switch between files/projects.

It would be much easier if Export settings (Export for assets / Export for screens) could be saved per each file not global. It's frustrating to change it each time you are working on different project/file.

That would be great, i want to request the same. Especially the folder i have to change always, by switching the projectfiles. So also for "Export for Screens" a great timesaving feature.
