Export for Screens should be per project.
I work on lots of projects. They all use export for screens. The export location and exports settings vary by project. Remembering and resetting the location and settings for each project slows down my work flow and is a source of problems in the greater work flow that the exported art is just a piece of. For instance in one "greater" project there are multiple Illustrator files for Android icons, iOS icons, and multiple art files - each requires different settings and locations in Export for Screens.

There are about 10 different threads on this issue. I send a list of all the threads to customer support. I also spoke on the phone with the head of Illustrator CRM at Adobe for about an hour explaining the situation to him.
The solutions is to have custom presets that we can save and recall via a drop-down menu. These presets will have "Scales" and "Paths" stored in them. I think that is the most elegant solution. Also, some people would like to see a possibility to choose the color space as well. So RGB for screen export, but also a CMYK profile selector in the export option. That way we can also quickly create CMYK and print-ready export files without altering the original RGB file. In this case, the export menu should not be called "export for screens" but simple "batch exporter".
In Photoshop, there is a very cool free (Automate) plugin called the "Image Processor Pro". I use it every day.
I agree with everyone here, that this is very urgent. I also mentioned to Adobe, that this is a Workflow killer.
I have the issue, that my "Print-For-Screen > Artboard" settings wont save. Neither per document nor globally. So I have to re-enter all scales (I have 35 in total) every time I reload the the document. Right now its a half baked nightmare.

Yes please! Remember the export profiles per file!
I don't want the settings used in whatever random project I was working on last. That makes no sense.
This goes along with prefixes/suffixes and saving in the correct directory. At the moment I'm spending all my time navigating to the correct folder. -

Agree 100%. The latest version now defaults to the folder were the AI file is located. It's even worse! Please save the export for screen per project!

Along with this, naming such as prefix and sufix should be able to retain as per individual file. I had 3 different files open, had to export them 1 by 1, but the sufix and prefix remain as per the file before. Looking forward to more flexibility in export.

I was hoping for this already for some years... you select all necessary settings for applestore application.. many artboards and many sizes and formats.. and there is no way to save all this...
Adobe PLEASE make those settings save together with each AI file.
Thank you
