Bulk import of SVG files to artboards
We have the ability to export a series of artboards to individual files, this is great for working on e.g. an icon library, or even a font.
But going in the opposite direction seems to require repeated copying and pasting, there's no trivial "bulk import" facility. This makes it painful to work with a pre-existing folder of SVGs.

Thank you, Cathy Anderson! The script is an absolute gem! I've wasted countless hours in the past arranging artboards and positioning icons. Just doing this once saved me about an hour or more. Amazing work, Scott Lewis (https://github.com/iconifyit)

I found a script. AI Merge that will bulk import SVG. It works pretty well. But it should be a standard feature.

Yes, this would be a huge win in my opinion. Does anyone know what other programs do this currently?

I'd like to import a hundred svg files into an Illustrator file right now. Yes, please add this feature in.

PLEASE put in this feature. It won't stop us from using Creative Cloud, because it's still useful for brushes, fonts, and colors. People are already working on their own apps just for this one feature. It's inevitable, and I don't want to switch from Illustrator to some other app just because you guys want to pinch a few pennies.

I would also appreciate this feature. Doing this manually will take too long.

I actually have the same need - I'm trying to create a source AI file for a bunch of svgs. It would be awesome to batch import svgs all to the same size artboard.
