  1. Eyedropper able to select colors from outside Illustrator, dual monitors

    The eyedropper could be used to select colors from another window outside of Illustrator. As an example, a Google Chrome window with a photograph that is being displayed on a second screen. This would mean the eye dropper tool would persist outside of the Illustrator window constraints. This could be cancelled by pressing ESC or returning to Illustrator and clicking a different tool. (This would eliminate the need to import the photograph or artwork into Illustrator to sample the colors.)

  2. Allow to include gradients and patterns in Swatch Info objects

    These ARE swatches, after all.
    If we have these selected, we expect to have cards for these. The cards for these can state which colors were used in them.

  3. Add Preview option when creating a Swatch Info object

    When we create a Swatch Info object, using a dedicated command from the Swatches panel’s menu, the dialog is missing Preview option we can enable and see how the parameters work in real-time.

  4. Allow to set text format for CMYK values and other data in Swatch Info objects

    The data for CMYK values in cards inside of Swatch Info is formatted with commas.
    I’d like to have the ability to customize it: spaces, hyphens, as C100 M50 Y0 K0, etc.

  5. Allow to use custom user templates for Swatch Info objects

    Swatch Info is OK (if completed!), but there is not enough customization currently.
    Take a look what an awesome ColorList script by Katja Bjerrum offers: https://productivista.com/make-a-list-of-colors-from-your-selection/ — we can set our own shapes before making a color legend.
    We could have done it semi-automatically after creating a Swatch Info, with Global Edit, to replace all chips with a custom shape... but for some reason these rectangles are immune to Global Edit (as it often happens, new features get loosely integrated with existing functions...)

  6. Allow to actually drag-n-drop swatches on canvas to create a Swatch Info object

    Please allow to create these with the actual drag-n-drop!
    Make it so we can hold a modifier key while doing this to have a dialog (and do it silently by default instead).
    Allow to add dragged swatches into the existing Swatch Info objects, highlight the exact positions these are going to be added, on canvas.

  7. Auto-Eyedropper when hovering over Swatches Info objects

    Please make possible to make the current tool automatically change to Eyedropper when you hover over the coloured squares in Swatches Info objects. Essentially this makes them function just like a swatch in the toolbar.

    I usually lock the Swatch Info Layer immediately so the swatches don't get included when dragging to select multiple objects. It might be useful to tie the automatic eyedropper tool change to the lock status of the layer, so you still get the expected behaviour when the layer is unlocked, but when it's locked you get the eyedropper when you hover over the swatches.

  8. Creative edition "Motives"

    I would like to propose the integration of the following functions to the creation of "Motifs" with the aim of optimizing and enriching the pattern creation tools so they can better adapt to more organic shapes, specifically it would be to add functions such as: "Create envelope / deformation options" and the functions of the "Transformation" panel to the "Motif Options"

  10. Remove all references to websafe palette

    The websafe colour palette has not been relevant for over two decades. You might as well support Macintosh bitmap fots if you’re going to include support for the websafe palette.

  11. Let the Recolor / Generative Recolor work in the Swatches Palette

    Please let those tools works on Groups of Swatches too.
    This comes in handy to make sets of colours with e.g. the same Hue, but a different Saturation.

  12. Save Default Swatches from Swatches Palette

    This is a struggle ever since. In the latest release, when creating an RGB document, I get tons of CMYK Swatches in the swatches palette. Why?

    Please make it easy to save Default Swatches for each color mode, preferably from within the Swatches Palette.

    Please don't suggest saving a Template, since that does not work due to privilege settings.

  13. "Notes" text field on the "Swatch Options" dialogue

    It would be a huge help to have a "notes" text field on the "Swatch Options" dialogue so we could include notes and other meta data about a given swatch to convey to other designers or collaborators.

  14. Separate the Icons for stroke and fill.

    Why does the adobe illustrator swatch palette overlap the stroke and fill? Why would they not separate this so we dont have to pick so carefully to access the color we want? What is the point of this? Is there some option to change the appearance of the swatch palette? I find this cumbersome and unnecessary.

  15. Color differents problem

    I have a problem with big color's preference difference between my AI monitor and real color on my and other machines. It's also concerning all the colors.
    I choose the red color and I get the brick color otherwise. Really in image and PDF file, I see the red color indeed.
    It's very serious problem for me, because I cann't know what the color I use to.

  16. Eye dropper tool not functioning on IPad 3.0.2

    Eye dropper tool is not working on iPad 3.0.2 (the latest version.)
    Selecting a colour on an art board or photo with the eyedropper does not produce a matching colour, it only removes the existing colour of an object. Please could you let me know if this is a bug, or how to workaround this issue?

  17. Please make New Swatch available all the time

    Sometimes, I have a complex selection of unpainted paths, and then I need to create a color swatch to apply. But unfortunately 'New Swatch' is greyed out. Why? Why isn't it always available?

  20. Apply colour mode to different artboards

    It would be great to have a feature where we can change colour modes for different artboards. This is extremely helpful in today's digital world, where we are working on Brand Identity design that involves the use of logo and colour palette extensively in print and digital media. This will help keep one master file for an extensive brand identity work and makes it easy to compare between CMYK and RGB colours/designs.
