  1. Export Swatch Bounds in Pattern Maker for easier repeat sharing

    • In the Pattern Maker tool, there would be an option to export the swatch via art board or just export in general, within the swatch bounds indicated by the pattern maker tool.

    Solves problem of: Having to figure out mathematically how to make a displaced patterned swatch with the correct bounds on a separate art board via a bunch of math.

  2. Saving Colorways

    In Fashion Design it's usual to define multiple colrways for Patterns.
    It should valuable for Illustrator to save those colorways to be able to switch easily from one version to the other.
    Something like saving the visibility of objects but with color in the "Variables Manager"
    It should be cool too to get this feature (switchnig between colorways) in Creative Cloud Browser for reviewing...

  3. Pattern making

    I want a feature in the pattern making panel. When I make a pattern I often duplicate a graphic and change something, maybe color, in the area where you make the graphics that shall be repeated. After duplicated I move it to the place where it is repeated. Then I can change color of one of the graphics for example, and these both graphics are now repeated. The problems is that when I move the graphic I kind of eyeball the placement of it. I would want to be more exact and quicker with it. I don't know what one…

  4. Distribute in patterns

    I want the pattern to be able to connect more to the resulting repeat. With that I mean for example this.
    1) If I draw a line freehand, from left to right. Then I would like to be able to make a seamless repeat of that line. So at the right I can "connect" to the left end and join/smooth it together
    2) If I want 4 similar/identical things spaced evenly and repeated. Then I can distribute the group to space it evenly. But on the left and right side (or top/bottom) how do this spacing between the items gets…

  6. Recolor Artwork with Color Theory / Harmony

    A selectable feature to automatically recolor artwork using standard color theory harmonies like Complementary, Analogous, Monochromatic, Triadic, and Tetradic positioned within Edit > Edit Colors > Recolor Artwork.

    This would allow users to quickly explore different, harmonized color schemes for their designs.

  7. Eyedropper able to select colors from outside Illustrator, dual monitors

    The eyedropper could be used to select colors from another window outside of Illustrator. As an example, a Google Chrome window with a photograph that is being displayed on a second screen. This would mean the eye dropper tool would persist outside of the Illustrator window constraints. This could be cancelled by pressing ESC or returning to Illustrator and clicking a different tool. (This would eliminate the need to import the photograph or artwork into Illustrator to sample the colors.)

  8. Auto-Eyedropper when hovering over Swatches Info objects

    Please make possible to make the current tool automatically change to Eyedropper when you hover over the coloured squares in Swatches Info objects. Essentially this makes them function just like a swatch in the toolbar.

    I usually lock the Swatch Info Layer immediately so the swatches don't get included when dragging to select multiple objects. It might be useful to tie the automatic eyedropper tool change to the lock status of the layer, so you still get the expected behaviour when the layer is unlocked, but when it's locked you get the eyedropper when you hover over the swatches.

  9. Creative edition "Motives"

    I would like to propose the integration of the following functions to the creation of "Motifs" with the aim of optimizing and enriching the pattern creation tools so they can better adapt to more organic shapes, specifically it would be to add functions such as: "Create envelope / deformation options" and the functions of the "Transformation" panel to the "Motif Options"

  10. Converting raster graphics to vector graphics

  11. Remove all references to websafe palette

    The websafe colour palette has not been relevant for over two decades. You might as well support Macintosh bitmap fots if you’re going to include support for the websafe palette.

  12. Let the Recolor / Generative Recolor work in the Swatches Palette

    Please let those tools works on Groups of Swatches too.
    This comes in handy to make sets of colours with e.g. the same Hue, but a different Saturation.

  13. Save Default Swatches from Swatches Palette

    This is a struggle ever since. In the latest release, when creating an RGB document, I get tons of CMYK Swatches in the swatches palette. Why?

    Please make it easy to save Default Swatches for each color mode, preferably from within the Swatches Palette.

    Please don't suggest saving a Template, since that does not work due to privilege settings.

  14. "Notes" text field on the "Swatch Options" dialogue

    It would be a huge help to have a "notes" text field on the "Swatch Options" dialogue so we could include notes and other meta data about a given swatch to convey to other designers or collaborators.

  15. Separate the Icons for stroke and fill.

    Why does the adobe illustrator swatch palette overlap the stroke and fill? Why would they not separate this so we dont have to pick so carefully to access the color we want? What is the point of this? Is there some option to change the appearance of the swatch palette? I find this cumbersome and unnecessary.

  16. Color differents problem

    I have a problem with big color's preference difference between my AI monitor and real color on my and other machines. It's also concerning all the colors.
    I choose the red color and I get the brick color otherwise. Really in image and PDF file, I see the red color indeed.
    It's very serious problem for me, because I cann't know what the color I use to.

  17. Eye dropper tool not functioning on IPad 3.0.2

    Eye dropper tool is not working on iPad 3.0.2 (the latest version.)
    Selecting a colour on an art board or photo with the eyedropper does not produce a matching colour, it only removes the existing colour of an object. Please could you let me know if this is a bug, or how to workaround this issue?

  18. Please make New Swatch available all the time

    Sometimes, I have a complex selection of unpainted paths, and then I need to create a color swatch to apply. But unfortunately 'New Swatch' is greyed out. Why? Why isn't it always available?

  20. Spot Colors Change the name to JPG

    It would be nice if you could change the spot color names in inserted images (JPG, PNG...) without going through Photoshop.
