This sliding toolbar drives me crazy, and wastes my time resetting the panel. Please update with a locking feature.

Just called - 1 (800) 833-6687. Told them that the toolbar needed to LOCK, and be locked as a default. Advanced users can then unlock if wanted. I teach Illustrator to beginners and this sliding toolbar is a nightmare. I suggest everyone call as well! :)

The manage tool bar does not work like manage work space use to.

I am being forced Back to version 2018.

This is a joke, was this feature tested before releasing? My productivity in illustrator is out the window. There needs to be an option to lock your tools in place so your tool bar stops changing on the fly.

Yes! I've been having this problem too!!! There's actually another vote going on that's up to 400+ voters for this issue and we still have no word from Adobe on this! When will this be fixed!!!

It's so frustrating having my tool bar constantly change without me knowing it. Fix this now!!!

For those who need a work-around until it's fixed. Save your toolbar and continue resetting it. Or as a CC subscriber, you have access to all the old versions of CC software. You can uninstall CC 2019 and install an old version. That's what I did. Much better than dealing with this headache all the time! I have work to get done. I cant be fumbling around trying to find my tools all the time. Even with the key commands, I've memorized, I can't remember them all.

Agreed. I really don't need to customise my toolbar on the fly. Why is this a feature? Why is this a feature of Illustrator only? Why is there still no consistency between the different tools in the creative suite programs? This "feature" is slowing my workflow down so much.

I've been using illustrator for 21 years almost daily and the most basic tool the arrow selection moving around in the toolbar is driving me crazy, yes I also use A and V keys but I do also use the toolbar. I can see Adobe are moving the interface to a mainly touchscreen web-based environment, but this is not the way to do it.

How about having USERS of the program tell you what to "FIX" instead of a bunch of coders who NEVER have to worry the the selection tools move at RANDOM.... maybe I'll start payign my monthly fee in SIX months after you fix what you BROKE!!!

Resetting the toolbox more than once is too much -- pro users expect the tools to be where they 'belong' and where we leave them. We are all moving way too fast in professional environments to be satisfied with this kind of performance.
