Same problem here, tools appear and disappear randomly from the toolbar and I definitely did NOT touch them by accident. I also have a number of the small floating tool palettes open along the top of my screen and they close and vanish for no reason. Please fix as it is incredibly annoying and time-consuming trying to hunt for the tool you need!

I've also reverse back to 22.1 as cannot stand the toolbar keep reorganizing itself and i have keep reset it quite a number of times within half an hour.

Offended doesn't even begin to describe the way I feel about this toolbar update. Distraught. Disgruntled. Plain old hurt. My JOB depends on this toolbar being easy to use and it moving all over the place and getting in my way only makes everything more difficult. How am I supposed to go about my day with this toolbar forcing itself in my way???? HOW???? Adobe, you've done a lot of things in the past, good and bad, but this is on another level. This is the worst thing you could have done to me, to my career and worse of all, to dearest Illustrator. Fix this. Let me anchor my toolbar. Let me live a free life once again.

Add an option to lock down the toolbar tools. ASAP, please!

Please make it so that tools stop combining with each other to make their own little drop-down sections. It's really annoying, I'm constantly putting my tools back in place. OR just give us a lock option!!!

Please resolve this issue. Very counterproductive. Having to reset your toolbar every 10 minutes is annoying. Why can you not just lock this down? WHY?!?!

Yes, I agree with everyones frustrations. This is completely an unnecessary side effect of an update (which is debatable if that update is even needed?) I thought naming the custom tool box would let it stay locked but that is not the case, so I continue to reset my tools, like everyone else is having to do. It seems to me that the tools would only shift around when you are in the "customization" mode picking and choosing the tools you want. Once you have made your custom tool box, voila, it goes back to the standard lock position. Please correct this user issue!?

Yes, same issue plus constantly telling me it can't preview illustration... and crashing. I hate this update.

I'm having the same issue. I've tried creating a custom toolbar but this hasn't fixed it.

It's only been a problem since updating to CC2019. Please fix this soon as it's making Illustrator an absolute nightmare to use, even for the simplest of tasks.

MAKE IT LOCK! It's really hard when all your tools just start reorganizing. I have to reset the damned thing at least a dozen times an hour when I'm working on an intense project.

Having to constantly reset the toolbar is not a solution to the random mixing that is occurring while using the tools-there is no rhyme or reason to it! I spend more time searching for my tools and resetting than I do actually working on my graphics. Why on earth would you "fix" something that didn't need fixing? Why don't you make the "Basic" the standard toolbox that we've all been working with that cannot be modified and have the "Advanced" be the changeable tool bar for those who wish to customize their settings. Seems like a simple solution. This bug really has to be fixed ASAP!!

I agree with this. Often accidentally drag the pen tool into my selection tool and frustratingly create an unwanted stack. I've customised my toolbar and just need the option to 'Lock' it.

My direct selection tool is missing ???????
