Allow gradient swatches to be added to CC library
It's great to have colors in the cc library but why can't those colors be gradients too? Please allow us to add gradient swatches to the cc library. Thanks
We have released the support for Gradient swatches in CC library with our latest release - v29.3
You can select the gradient swatch in swatches panel and add it to CC Library through the button on the bottom bar in the panel. You can also select any object which has gradient applied and add that gradient to CC Library through Add Elements from the Libraries panel and choose Fill Gradient from the drop-down menu.
Please update to this version from your Creative Cloud Desktop application and let us know your feedback.

Definitely missing. Gradients are often part of branding. This is so frustrating :-X

Ability to save gradients as swatches in the CC libraries, instead of having to save as graphic and it opens in a separate file

I would also like to have the ability to drag gradient swatches into a library. Please add this functionality.

This would be ideal!
What would be great is if you could import a group (including swatches and gradients) and set it as a default in all documents, and across all Adobe products without the need to import it every time...
Or at least add swatches and gradients to the same group and save it to your CC library to import
Please do this Adobe :)

Im glad im not the only one wanting this! Love the new feature but impossible to use effectively if we have to create a new one each time. Also, been having issues editing.

Possibility of exchange Gradient between illustrator and Indesign.
Possibility of gradient exchange between AI and ID even with a simple and trivial copy and paste -

Because even the mundane operations must be complicated and convoluted in Illustrator. There is Affinity Designer out there, though.

For those who are struggling with this and until Adobe eventually adds this feature, you cannot add a gradient swatch to CC Libraries, but you can add a shape (say a square) with your gradient fill as a graphic. Just create the square with the gradient fill, click the + on the CC Library pallete and click Add.
