Double tap on Apple pencil switch between pencil blob / eraser
When I am shutting with the pencil blob. I use the pencil and the eraser.
Switching between those two, will speed up the workflow.3 votes -

Full Functionality of Pen tool
I think it would be nice to have full functionality of the pen tool. When I make a shape and click divide, it works but then when I merge shapes together, it’s not completely merged especially when I use the ungroup feature. It is very frustrating as it makes the pen tool a little confusing to use. You can see in the attached photo where i made two circles & divided the shape. I separated one of new shapes and then merged what I didn’t separate. With the new shape I made, I hit ungroup and then it becomes completely dived again. I may not use AI too much until this is figured out but I do love the app. You can see when the shape is selected, it is still divided and not merged. I rely heavily on this function with my vector work and it allows me to work a bit more efficiently on the computer. Would love to see it on the iPad version.

Flow and smoothing like in photoshop for the ipad
Would be great if you could add these two tools for the pencil tool !
Also when I use the pencil tool, the endings are always sharp and way too edgy and I have to change them to the round ones. Could you give the option to choose what kind of stroke (edgy or round and smooth) you want to draw with from ahead please?3 votes -

Faster shape building
The shape builder function is great, but the workflow is quite slow to having to go into the combine shape tab then and selecting the shape builder. Could there be some way of quickly accessing the shape builder option directly at all?

Direct selection tool
Would be awesome if you could use the touch ring already before selecting objects in a group to pick individual objects..Now I just move the objects a tiny bit every time when I double click.. Annoying.

Opacity sliders please
Although there are transparency options in the app, it seems to be either buried in the appearance section or only an option with gradients. Please add a transparency slider for the pen and pencil tools

Display detailed colour info
It would be nice if the colour information could be displayed in detail like it does in normal illustrator. such as, if it’s RGB, CMYK, Spot etc, allowing you to check the colours of selected items.

Grey system layout
The grey system layout is much easier on the eyes than the old style white cs3 look.
Please give us the option to change this

Make it possible to edit a Gradient that is applied to multiple objects
When the same gradient is applied to multiple objects, it is not possible to select the objects and adjust the gradient for all.
As soon as a not is selected, changing its color results in leaving gradient editing mode.2 votes -
Make Gradient controls snap to points
Placing gradients exactly is almost impossible. Please add the features that are available for other paths: snap to point, numerical positioning and sizing, etc.

Make Gradients editable globally, just like other Global Colors.

Open Gradient editor by (alt/double) clicking a Gradient Swatch
Open Gradient editor by (alt) clicking a Gradient Swatch.
There is a lot of UI logic involving gradients that can be improved. Double clicking a gradient swatch should bring up the gradient editor, for example.
