Thanks for the information provided to the Illustrator team.
We are able to reproduce this issue at our end and the engineering team is currently isolating this issue further to get to the root cause. With Best Regards,

I have found that if I go to the Apple Menu and select sleep then immediately wake the computer again the space bar starts working again.

I've been experiencing this. Also cmd space bar for the zoom tool isn't working at times. I have found that if I put the computer to sleep then wake it up again straight away functionality returns.

Still experiencing Libraries freezing and becoming unresponsive even after recent updates. Issue actually seems worse than ever...
I'm running version 25.2.3 under Catalina 10.15.7 - MacBook Pro 16" with two external displays.
Use this regularly and therefore is really disruptivetive to workflow.

Having this problem all the time in Illustrator - only way to fix is to close and reopen Illustrator for it only to happen again or still remain unusable. Really disruptive to workflow.

Think I've posted this before - but when this happens to me (usually on a daily basis) I find that when I'm in Illustrator and I put the computer to sleep then immediately wake the computer back up using the spacebar the issue resolves itself. Much better than quitting and reopening Illustrator.
To me this says the space bar is being hi-jacked by something else on the system...
