An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Liquid Layout is a good steal.
But it turns AI into InD. Why not work in InD instead? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Kurt, the file has a lot of shadows applied to various objects, and I am able to add new shadows, replace old ones, edit them, etc. The file does not crash for me on save, with or without PDF-compatibility.
Can you specify steps you are making with these, or maybe record a video? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Can you tell more about specific features and workflows in Ps you are in particularly interest in — and why?
Surely Ai can’t just copy the way Ps does it, the media is quite different, but it will allow to see what the demand is. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Yeah, this was a pretty effective tool, simple and powerful.
I can advise you to look at Find Replace Art plugin by Astute Graphics which offers this and much more (but with a larger set of controls).

An error occurred while saving the comment There are several ways to approach this, and the most versatile is to use custom made scripts. There are usually are pretty customized and won’t fit every user, because each one has its own preferences hardcoded. Mine, for example, helps me to choose the proper scale value with metric documents.
Search the web for scripts like this, there should be plenty to start tinkering with your own. Some prefer using actions instead.

An error occurred while saving the comment There is a full toolset for working with patterns in Illustrator, which allows to have the same results. Have you tried it? Window > Pattern Options? Why would you like to make it changed just to copy the way PS does it?

An error occurred while saving the comment Danuta, there is a script you can use on a selection of text objects, to force it to become a sequence of numbers derived from the first number is the first text object (by the order in Layers panel). I use all the time!
Just remove it to .jsx file (UV does not allow scripts files attached directly) and drop it in Illustrator with a selection of text objects.
An error occurred while saving the comment Until some solution is implemented, use great 'Fixing Sequential Numbers' script. I guess you'll be able to figure how it can help you, with a 15 years of practice.

An error occurred while saving the comment Tim, sorry for the delay, but in Ai you can move the origin whenever you like.
Display rulers (View > Rulers > Show Rulers), hold the intersection of rulers in the top left corner and drag it onto canvas. If you enable Smart Guides (or other snaps), you’ll be able to position it at a certain point. What you can't do though, is to flip the direction of the Y (or X) axis :( You can do it by changing a flag in the file in the guts of the app, but it has some issues. If you like, please vote for having an option for that here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-feature-requests/suggestions/32428157-allow-users-to-set-direction-for-x-and-y-axises

An error occurred while saving the comment Illustrator allows to save views, it does not matter if they are rotated or not, everything gets stored fine. The problem is that it stores everything: the rotation angle, the position of it, and the zoom level, and there is no way to control which data gets stored... and the UI / UX for it pathetic, yeah.
Still, try to use it, with View > New View / Edit Views.
Please comment back about the workflow. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Brandon, so far I can advise to use this free script from Sergey Osokin to do that: https://github.com/creold/illustrator-scripts/blob/master/md/Artboard.md#batchrenamer
Please comment back if it works for you.

An error occurred while saving the comment Yeah, I get it now. The stack does not behave.
This can be a shared problem, so pleased do contact AG directly in case they can offer a fix from their side.An error occurred while saving the comment Well, perhaps a custom made SVG filter is used, right?
I mistook it for Astute Graphics’ Duotone effect. Sorry, I should have read it with more attention than I had.An error occurred while saving the comment Hey, interesting.
But why do you call a Phantasm effect 'an SVG filter'? It is a third-party tool by Astute Graphics, so I will re-address this issue to them.
As for the Attach Symbol, I'd like to try this one.
