130 votesThe team acknowledges the problem and is working to provide a quick fix with an option to disable this in the Preferences. An error occurred while saving the comment Kathryn Adamson commented I've had to roll back my version of illustrator to the previous because it kept bugging out*, and I'm so glad I did, since that dumb icon is nowhere to be seen. *Objects in my artwork would suddenly become invisible when zooming and cut & pasting would not restore them. This has to be the worst update in recent memory. An error occurred while saving the comment Kathryn Adamson commented I do not have any intention of using the generative credits feature and wish to remove it. Failing that, I would like the option to hide the icon as I find it distracting and distasteful. Kathryn Adamson supported this idea ·

It would speed up the process by eliminating the need to do this step through preflight or by manually converting the text within the working file, also reducing the risk of accidentally saving the working file with flattened text, which would then impact the ability to later make amendments.

There are a few swatches that I find myself adding to the default swatch panel almost every time I create a new document. I would love to be able to have them permanently added to the drop down swatch panel that appears at the top left of the screen.
Yes, I know we have 'Libraries' and I could import them. Every. Time. But there's a perfectly good swatch panel that could do the job without having to load from the cloud. Also, there are so many patterns and gradients in the default panel that I've never used even once and would like to be able to remove.
I've managed to change the 'Print' default swatches by changing permissions and overriding the original, but it hasn't effected the default swatches.
