I’m really grateful you came up with disabling this feature, as the artboard names displayed on the canvas when the feature was first introduced really clashed with the content.

I’m experiencing the same issue: Arabic is set as the default font for all new documents, and even some of the text in the Text panel interface appears in Arabic.

The strange thing is that I’ve never used Arabic fonts in my work, nor have I ever registered the software in an Arabic-speaking country. I’m based in the UK, so I have no idea why this is happening.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

    Hi there,

I’m experiencing this issue in Illustrator version 30.3 on macOS Tahoe 26.4.1.

Based on my testing so far, the issue appears to be triggered by any object that has been rotated individually to an angle other than its initial 0° orientation and is then rotated as part of a group or together with another object.

Lines, for example, seem to work incorrectly in almost 100% of cases. This is probably because only horizontal lines have an initial angle of 0° when drawn, whereas other lines have a different angle by default (for instance, a vertical line is at 270°).

However, these are just the technical details.

The main issue is that this behaviour causes the bounding boxes of virtually all grouped objects to reset unexpectedly. This makes the tool unreliable and forces users to check their objects constantly.

Could someone from Adobe please respond to this issue and clarify whether a fix is being worked on?
