Cannot turn off Middle Eastern feature. I am not in Middle East anymore. Type direction starts from R>L, and the numbers are in Arabic
I activated my Creative Cloud membership when I was in Dubai, UAE, and now I am in Germany. My Photoshop and Illustrator are automatically in a Middle Eastern setting. I do not speak any Arabic language so I don't need this feature. I managed to fix Photoshop, but in Illustrator, it is impossible! Even after changing my laptop region, creative cloud account's location, setting English as the default language, and re-installing the software, nothing has happened. It is becoming a nuisance, the texts start from R>L and the numbers are always in Arabic. How can I turn off this feature?

I’m experiencing the same issue: Arabic is set as the default font for all new documents, and even some of the text in the Text panel interface appears in Arabic.
The strange thing is that I’ve never used Arabic fonts in my work, nor have I ever registered the software in an Arabic-speaking country. I’m based in the UK, so I have no idea why this is happening.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

Please try the latest Illustrator Beta app (from Creative Cloud app) and let us know if this is still a problem.

I'm facing the same issue, I have activated Creative cloud in Dubai (UAE), and the same problem is on my account.
When I start typing in Photoshop or AI, even in After Effects, it starts form Right to Left, but the main issue is that numbers are automatically arabic (hindu). How can we set up in default settings to be L>R typing and numbers to be 123?
Please support us on this matter as even from Apple support they couldn’t find the right solution.

Aira, as far as I know, some type-related features get enabled based on region... and I assumed a complete reinstall was a possible solution to this... but you say it does not work for you.
I’ll try to bring some attention to it and see what can be done.
