Yes, this exact thing, complete with odd green cursor. Started happening after 26.1 update.

I just posted the same request, so I up-voted this one now that I found it.

(Re: Adobe Illustrator 24.1.3 Mac) It is a constant irritation, here in the year 2020, to be forced to deal with a a modal panel that looks like a relic of Mac OS 9. I am referring to the non-resizable Find Font window, which is so tiny that it cannot even display the full name of most fonts, forcing one to use the control-click preview to find out which style is being referenced. Note in this screenshot the two entries for "Myriad Pro Semibold Conde..." — and this isn't even a long font name. Imagine if it read "Berthold Bodoni Antiqua Semibold Italic". I know this isn't a huge bug, but it is a constant daily annoyance, and it seems like it would be an easy fix (and should have been fixed circa 2005). For example, the same window in InDesign (see second screen shot) has a much wider fixed width and uses a smaller font. It also uses a different method for selecting the replacement font that is arguably much more user-friendly. So why doesn't the Illustrator team just adopt that version in the interest of suite consistency?

    Hi,

This bug has been fixed with AI version 23.0.2 & fix has been verified from Brendon (Hotdoor).

Please update AI to latest version 23.0.4 (MAC) & 23.0.3 (WIN).

Please do let us know if it is still reproducible at email id:

For the crash during image crop you need to start a new thread as it is different from the crash described in this thread.

    Thanks & Regards,

I can confirm that the deleting preferences trick did NOT work, however.

I reverted to the previous version of Illustrator. I had work to do and can't help debug beta software.

I have had to restart Illustrator 10 times in the last half hour. This is not acceptable, as I have accomplished almost zero work in this time.

In the 22.1 update, the Align Objects and Distribute objects tools changed behavior. Before, if I selected say, 5 objects and clicked the Align Horizontal Center tool, they would align on a mutual horizontal center. Now, they align to the center of the artboard, apparently, which is often completely offscreen when I'm zoomed in. This is a very confusing and almost totally un-useful behavior. The same thing happens with Distribute objects on Vertical Centers.

I can't imagine why one would want these features locked to the artboard. It makes them completely useless.
