Hi friends! I have some great news for your today. Rotate View (Canvas) feature is available in Illustrator 25.3 (Desktop) now. Thank you all for your feedback which helped us shape up this feature.

There are a myriad of reason why this is a must have feature... This has been one of the top posts for ages on the feature request board and it just seems to get blatantly ignored.
"How can we improve Illustrator? Vote for or share a new idea."
Well how about you pick up this high voted backlogged request after more than two years? This would be the most desired improvement on my part for Illustrator and one that would be super nice to have on a daily basis.
Even if it was just in 90 degree increments it would be a big step up.
An error occurred while saving the comment Defectiv commentedAs I do a lot of packaging design I agree... This function is just... Its just unbelievable it doesn't exist yet...
Its been nearly 10 months since the comment it would be picked up shortly. I hope it gets picked up. Its just so bizarre its still not possible, its one of the things that should have been in AI years ago.

Adobe Illustrator's Multithreading Journey Begins!
Dear Illustrator Community,
I'm thrilled to announce that we've embarked on an exciting journey to bring multithreading capabilities to Adobe Illustrator. This significant undertaking will enhance performance and responsiveness across various aspects of the application.
While this is a complex process that will take some time to fully implement, I wanted to share our progress so far.
Our Approach
We've strategically begun by focusing on the most computationally intensive operations—those that typically take more time and block the main thread, resulting in slower response times while you work. By moving these operations to separate threads, we aim to significantly improve your overall experience with Illustrator.
It's important to note that you may see more noticeable impact in some areas than others initially. However, we want to assure you that this is just the beginning, and we will continue this journey to bring improvements across…
An error occurred while saving the comment Defectiv commentedI don't buy the 'isn't possible with vectors' argument. That's just a cheap excuse. Enough vector based examples out there that seem to have no issues. It isn't possible *with the current engine* is what he really meant to say probably.
So I totally buy they'll have to do massive work on or a total rewrite of the engine and they don't want to do that.

We have done further updates to Dimension tool with recently released version - 28.3
You can create and use your custom scale for dimension, hide or show units on dimensions and dimensions are now sticky to the object - they transform as well when you transform the object.

I don't think you are Jonas, a lot of this is still very meh.
Bugs me like crazy that like you and Andrew posted, things are oriented towards the original orientation which is just plain silly. As a packaging designer its nice that I can check text without straining my neck but aside from that, it feels very unfinished and I find myself not using it much because of it. The zooming/shifting/moving bit is just way too irritating.
