The latest Beta Build 29.0.38 now removes the default F12 keyboard shortcut for File > Revert command.
This will only affect those who use sets with F12 not assigned to anything else. A soft message will inform users about the change.
If you choose to use F12 for Revert, you can assign it back using Keyboard Shortcuts dialog.
Let’s hope nobody looses anything anymore because of accidental Revert!
An error occurred while saving the comment Rose O commentedHow is this even a thing?! Also this same command is the "Toggle Last Action" hotkey in Photoshop, which only adds to the confusion for those of us who use both softwares frequently. Awful!!!

The choice of the type of a symbol is sticky in the latest version of Illustrator. If a user toggles it to Static, it remains Static when another symbol is created — and vice versa.

When I have an AI file I need to export to JPG and it contains dynamic symbols, for some reason the symbols are all showing on the top layer in the exported file. See attached screenshots of what I'm seeing in my AI file vs. what is exported to the JPG.
The only way to work around this bug currently is to break all the symbols in the file prior to exporting. Or switch them all to static.
Please fix this, Adobe! (:
