We have the fix available in the latest release, where we have redesigned this dialog. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 24.0.1

I get a pop-up DLOG when I save or save as and then try to do something else, like close the file. I have to wait for it to finish saving before I can continue. It takes a LOT longer since I downloaded the new version. Here's a 319k file following the instructions you shared above.

UPDATE: Now I'm getting another error: "Illustrator tried, but could not save the file "FileName". Click "Learn More" to try alternate options for saving your file."
If I click "OK" and then command-s again, it saves the file, but leaves a .tmp file in the folder with the job. Clicking "Learn More" takes me to https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/troubleshoot-file-save-issues.html, which is of no help at all.
This is happening almost every time I save a file.
