Save Ai file to a working svgz
Goodmorning, I refer to the following issue: https://forums.adobe.com/message/9978412#9978412
I am working daily on a professional basis with Adobe Illustrator. I find it very disturbing that this issue isn't solved yet. I hope you can fix it.

Unless I'm missing something, please export graphics to the exact same dimensions they were designed to be. Do not add arbitary padding.
In all good conscience I feel like I absolutely have to be missing something here. But time and time again, upon exporting some UI graphics from AI, they turn out to be wider and taller than they were designed to be. Is this padding arbitrary? How was it even determined that these pixels would be added to the exported assets? Am I truly missing something?
I mocked something up in XD, but after creating a few UI elements it was apparent that XD is nowhere near up to the task for making full-fledged graphics. No biggie, I was a little…

Multiple Artboard Save
Some older versions of AI does not show multiple artboards. When doing a save could there be the option for artboards like when SVG is selected.

Place files via drag-n-drop but still allow options to be selected before placement.
If we want to place a page of a multi-page PDF into an AI file, we have to do so using the File->Place menu with Options checked. It would be nice to be able to simply drag the PDF onto the AI document and have the option dialog open so we can choose which page to place.

Ai File icon turned upside down
Hi. I have updated the ai to version cc 2018 and all the icons of my files in ai format turned upside down. It makes me feel annoyed even it does not hinder me from opening and working on the files. May i know how this can be fixed?

New version change over
New versions, NOT new name. Drop the year add-on. Just ask to overwrite existing app version. I use overflow to start up my apps, not the Adobe menu. By adding a new app name AND deleting the old one you BREAK ALL my links to ***** up my workflow.
Also, import to the new version ALL MY TEMPLATES. You created significant work for me to go an find the old templates and then get them into 2018
Most importantly: Send some of your engineers out to see people use your products in the real world that is NOT web design…

Assets Export - add "Find" option by asset name
I'm looking for just option to filter assets at Asset Panel. It's easy to select some assets, for example I have objects names "ground_xx.png" and I want just export them now, so I can type in filter "ground" and it will be filtered from all other my assets, and yes, better to add option select filtered.

Automation when opening multiple identical files for adjustments
Have 5 identical DXF files that need to be opened at the same scale (1-1 mm) centered on a 12 x 24 artboard and saved out as PDF. Some way to record this like an action so that when the second file is opened the scale, rulers and save as options are preserved, and perhaps the save to location. Process perhaps 300 such files per year and this would be a huge time saver. Even if only a single file it would be nice to have some persistent parameters that could be set when opening a file such as always…

Assets panel multiple selection with just mouse
I want to use mouse and "Ctrl" to select assets I want to export in Asset Export panel. But I can't do that. Mouse works only as per 1 selection. Yes, I can hold "Ctrl" and click on different assets or use Shift to select some, but that not useful for me. Sometimes I want to select big groups of assets located at the beginning and end of the assets list, so I just want to hold "Ctrl" and play with mouse easily and fast by selecting any items.

Seit einiger Zeit können in Illustrator die Importoptionen nicht mehr dauerhaft eingeschaltet (sichtbar sein)!

Exportación de recursos - Translated Asset Export
La herramienta de exportación de recursos me parece genial y muy práctica pero los archivos pierden calidad.
Genero diferentes dibujos dentro de un mismo archivo para imprimir camisetas y esa opción para nombrar los archivos y exportarlos es muy rápida.
La realidad es que pierden mucha calidad y tengo que acabar generando mesas de trabajo diferentes y exportandolos de forma tradicional.
Creo que si mejoraran ese aspecto sería ya la herramienta perfecta.

[BUG] xmpMM:DocumentID isn't unique at creation stage
When you create new documents, they all share the same XMP documentID value while you would expect it's unique for every single new document.
Saving the document solves the issue but it means one can't rely on documentID uniqueness while the document isn't saved.
It needs to be unique at the creation stage already.2 votes

Moving as a feature request. We generate an unique value only on file save. When you create a file it inherits all the attributes of the preset it uses. This is the reason you see the same uuid each time you create the document,

Slices
I have created a logo and it saves in slices, and at one point in it's own folder, which I didn't ask it to do, I don't want that. Also the Illustrator program is to big, it falls off the screen at times and Photoshop is to small, I need a magnifying glass can they both be fixed so they can fit properly on the screen. Also now and then all the colors in swatch window disappears.

File synchronization fails for ai files saved with CC 2018
I sync my files across several computers using Unison (an rsync command line tool). Since updating, .ai files will not synchronize. I am running macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 and CC 2018 v 22.0.0 on the computers that I am syncing.
Steps to reproduce:
1. make ai file. A4 RGB layout with one text item. Save.
2. run Unison.
3. synchronization fails with message that the ai file does not exist on the other computer because it could not be renamed from the tmp version of the ai file that unison pulls from the other computer.Not sure if this is…

.ait Files not showing.
I dont know if this is the bug reporting area or not. However when i Create a ait file it will not allow me to open the original and it does not show up in the CC Library's when i upload it to CC.
