Please add automated color bar, separation color information - Print PDF output
Hi! I am missing a choice in PDF save or export. In the print industry is needed to add colour information for the customer, what colours is the artwork made from - esp. when we use solid colours. Customers need this for the approval process so we have to add this colour-bar manually. Place all pages of a PDF or AI file as links - same as InDesign
Working at a design studio, we create digital proofs that are set up on a template so our proof pages all look streamlined. We use one working file (.AI) and place that file as linked images into a separate proof file (.AI).
Currently you can only place one page of the AI or PDF file at a time. This can be really tedious when there are a dozen or more images we want to place. We like to maintain the link so that we don't need to export files to relink to the proof file every time we want a…

Save Color Profiles by Default
By default, the color profiles I assign to the file should be saved.
There have been several times I have assigned a color profile to my Illustrator file, saved it as a PDF, and the printed PDF were the wrong colors because Illustrator didn't include the assigned profile. I then had to reopen my file, manually tell Illustrator to include all color profiles when saving, and then reprint.
It is ridiculous that the file doesn't save assigned profiles by default.

Each new updates of illustrator , auto save is automatically turned off !
even though it should import all previous setings. ( box check)
Could you please fix this ?it doesnt import this particular setting

Allow me to change filename and file size dimensions with "Export as..." option
I can no longer save my file with it's filename when exporting an artboard for client review. I would like to be able to have control over the naming of the file and the dimensions I export to (especially when building out billboard art files). If there was an option that showed file size and dimensions like in the previous "Save to Web" that would be optimal

Just updating to 2021 software from CC2. Yes, I'm a dinosaur. One small but glaring difference is in previous versions, when I would Save, the Save screen would already have the file name highlighted so I could quickly type and rename it, or move the cursor. Now, I have to click on the file name field to make any changes. Small detail, but much more efficient previously. This goes for all of your products I assume, or certainly PS and INDD.

Allow layers with "print" unchecked to also not render in "output for screens".
Basically, just like the title says. When the "Print" box in a layer's properties is unchecked, that layer will not be printed (or, when exporting, it won't be used in the export).
I'd like this behavior to be continued in export for screens. That way, you can set up layers for overlays and guides but not have to manually hide them before export.
F/E, here's an overlay on a FB mobile sized coverpage; I'd like the blue box etc (on their own non-print layer called "overlays") to be gone on export so that when I export, all that the resulting…

Customize Export Formats
I use only two export formats on a regular basis. It would be nice if could disable the formats I don't use. It is cumbersome to have to scroll through all the formats every time I use them. In older AI versions, each format was like a plug-in file that could be removed if not being used. It would also be nice if individual formats could be assigned keyboard shortcuts.

Asset Export: Name assets after the layer they're on
When adding objects to Asset Export, there should be an option to name the assets after the layer they're on. This would be particularly helpful when there are a large number of assets.

Automatically update legacy format when saving...
When working on an older version of illustrator - when you save, you get a notice about saving in a legacy format. I would like a preferences option to automatically save in the latest version when working on legacy files. Right now I have to use save as.

File Sharing Notifications
My client and I are making edits to the same file that is being saved/stored in Creative Cloud. We currently notify each other by email or text when we are making edits. Is there any way a feature can be added to post a notification on screen/within the app that the other person is currently editing the file when the other individual logs in or opens the file in order to avoid overwriting each others edits?
2 votesLatest releases of Illustrator and InDesign now have a dedicated method to edit the same cloud document by multiple users, which you can access with the Share button in the top right corner.

Multiple recover file management
AI feature that allows to save multiple recover files separately.
(The user decides how many copies of recovery to have, could be a single one or many).
for example, in case I want three copies of recovery that saves separately every X minutes.
recover1 saves every 30 minutes
recover2 saves every 10 minutes
recover3 saves every 2 minutes
This would help to recover previous versions of the same file.Additonally an option to save backups:
Save a copy every X minutes.
For example: Save a copy every 60 minutes.

We need Watermark Panel
I have suffered several times from clients who have steals my work and doesn’t pay the remaining 50% of the contract because it is a tedious job to make changes to a design and add, each time I need to export the artboard a watermark.
It would be great to have a panel or a checkbox to apply a watermark to the entire artboard and that way we defend ourselves against bad clients easier.
And if we can add our custom watermark, much better.

SVG Import image X and Y positions are multiplied by 2
If you open this SVG in Chrome, FF, Inkscape, etc, the rectangle and the 120.png image should be stacked on top of each other. However, in Illustrator CC (As of 09-23-2020) the image appears at 240x240 for the X/Y position instead of the defined 120x120. Appears to be this way only with the image tag. If you were to do a transformation matrix, it fixes the problem but still it should be imported properly into Illustrator.

Export SVG without transforms for use with web / HTML / CSS / JS
When will illustrator support options for exporting SVG without transforms?
We have to manually calculate then set the x,y,width, height attributes on an svg element from a transform: matrix or other transforms.
Attached image: I can't pull this into an html document and animate it because the inline transforms override the css transform I use to position or animate.
